The Bureau of Reclamation is helping advance critical water infrastructure improvements in North Dakota.
President Donald J. Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act includes funding for major upgrades to Reclamation’s Garrison Diversion Unit.
💧 $100 million will support the Eastern North Dakota Alternate Water Supply project, funding design for a new intake, biota treatment plant and pipeline.
💧 $8 million will support repairs to the McClusky Canal and Snake Creek Pumping Plant, including canal slide repairs, gate automation and structural improvements.
These upgrades will help restore water delivery capacity and support affordable, reliable water service for nearly half of North Dakota’s population.
