daemn42 | 100mph Durafly EFX Racer on 4S pack @daemn42 | Uploaded October 2014 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
Saw folks talking about how well this plane glides, so picked it up to use as a possible PSS slope sailplane, but figured I'd put it through its paces with power first. This is the PNF Durafly EFX 42" Racer from Hobbyking with stock 6x5 prop and 4S 2200 pack.
Comes with motor, ESC and servos pre-installed. Just attach the wing, stabilizer, adjust linkage, add Rx, battery and fly.
6x5 is overpropped for 4s 5x5 or 5.5x4.5 is recommented, but I'm a mile above sea level, so should be ok, as long as I keep the full throttle runs to short bursts. It is very quick.
Check it out running on recommended 6x5 prop and 3S combination here

It's a great little electric flier, slippery and fast. Turns very hard.
Looks great too. I'm a sucker for red and white planes. I will eventually strip the decals and repaint in higher vis colors as I find blue decals above the leading edge to be pretty dumb.
Filmed with Hero3 Black on 1080p narrow and then cropped to 720p to zoom in a bit further.
