At Lmpry, my apparel brand, we work with a new rescue each month, but this one is so important to me, we’re going to work for 60 days to see how much we can raise for them!
Safe in Austin is a nonprofit animal sanctuary outside Austin, Texas, dedicated to rescuing and caring for animals that have experienced abuse, neglect, abandonment, or have special needs. The sanctuary is home to more than 200 rescued animals across more than a dozen species.
What makes Safe in Austin especially incredible is what they do with those animals. They bring them together with children who have experienced trauma, are at risk, or have special needs, creating a judgment-free place where animals and kids can connect, heal, and experience unconditional love.
I’ve personally visited the sanctuary, and it was one of the most moving experiences I’ve ever had. Jamie and the team are an incredibly passionate group of people who have dedicated their lives, time, and resources to keeping this place going.
