No, Jesus did not "save a woman from being stoned". Please read a history book.
Under Roman Law at the time of Jesus, there was no death penalty for adultery.
The intention of the Pharisees was to trap and publicly humiliate Jesus by asking, "The law of Moses states that this woman must be stoned to death, but what do you say?"
If Jesus had answered "Sure! Let's stone her!" he would have been punished under Roman law for advocating vigilante justice, whereas if Jesus had answered "Nah, stoning women is totally nasty" he would have been regarded as a hypocrite who rejects Mosaic teaching.
The pussy-hole answer he gave is that those who break "God's Law" will not face punishment if they repent.
Applying this approach elsewhere would result in the complete abolition of the judicial system. No thief, murderer, rapist, embezzler, kidnapper or terrorist could be punished because, hey guys, we've all sinned, ok, so who are we to judge the actions of other people?
