AM4 is officially 10 years old, and AMD is marking the occasion with a special edition Ryzen 7 5800X3D.
The AM4 platform has had an impressive run, supporting multiple generations of Ryzen processors and giving PC builders the option to upgrade their CPU without having to replace their entire system.
The Ryzen 7 5800X3D became one of the standout AM4 processors, thanks to AMD’s 3D V-Cache technology and its strong gaming performance. And even with AM5 now well established, the 5800X3D remains a great upgrade for anyone still running an AM4 gaming PC.
The 10th Anniversary Edition doesn’t change the original specifications, but it gives existing AM4 users another opportunity to upgrade without moving to a new motherboard or DDR5 memory. It also comes with a free carbise pad to help improve thermal consistency between the CPU and cooler.
