“When will Activision make a new Guitar Hero game?” How many times has that phrase, or something like it, been thrown around lately? Clone Hero has filled the void for five years now, but it's just not the same as buying a fully produced game alongside a new controller.

My last video, Beyond Clone Hero, talked about some games similar to Guitar Hero that are currently in development. With titles like Fret Smasher, RhythmScape, Downbeat, and possibly even a new Guitar Hero in the works, what can the devs for these teams learn from Activision’s past mistakes?
