The #30DayDominoChallenge has concluded! It's been quite a month building dominoes for at least 30 minutes every day! Here are some things I learned:
- Clean up ASAP!
- Start building early in the day.
- It’s easier to keep going once you’ve started.
- It’s okay to take a break.
- If you want to get stuff done, don’t film or post anything.
- Having a running timer helps me stay on track.
- Set deadlines and put them on a calendar.
- Build in extra time, it always takes longer than you think.
- Take breaks to stretch and exercise.
- Keep yourself accountable.

The next Collaborative Community Compilation is here and were doing something that weve never done before! Several times each year, I organize a way for the community to get involved by participating in a domino-related challenge. This time, the challenge is to build the coolest domino setup within 1x1 yd or 92x92 cm of space!
RULES AND GUIDELINES:
🔹 You are limited to build within 1x1 yd or 92x92 cm (use what’s easiest for you to measure)
🔹 You can use as many dominoes and accessories (bridges, fieldstarters, etc.) as you like, as long as it fits into the space
🔹 Only ONE entry clip allowed per person
🔹 Must be 13 years or older or have a parent’s permission to submit your video
🔹 Have fun :)
SUBMITTING YOUR VIDEO (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY):
1️⃣ Measure out your building area
2️⃣ Build your setup
3️⃣ Record your video using a tripod (or prop your camera up on something) to keep the camera still
4️⃣ Post your video on social media (YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) using the hashtag #H5dominocommunity in your caption
5️⃣ Submit the video link at http://Hevesh5.com/submissions for a chance to be included in the final compilation video!
Deadline to submit your video is Wednesday, September 1st, 2021 at 11:59PM EST

It’s time for another Collaborative Community Compilation! Every Summer, I organize a way for the community to get involved by participating in a domino-related challenge. This time, the challenge is to build the best setup you can in just 30 minutes!
RULES AND GUIDELINES:
🔹 Feel free to get creative and build whatever you’d like! There are no limitations in terms of what you set up. Dominoes, chain reactions, accessories, and other building materials are allowed.
🔹 Build time must not exceed 30 minutes
🔹 Use a timer and/or clock to keep track of your 30 minutes of build time
🔹 No stopping and restarting the timer after you’ve begun building (the setup must be built in 30 consecutive minutes)
🔹 Before you begin, take a photo of your empty building space with a clock in the background that shows the time you started building
🔹 After 30 minutes of building, take a photo of your completed project with a clock in the background that shows the time you stopped building
🔹 Film your topple horizontally in widescreen (16:9), and if possible, use a tripod to keep the camera still
🔹 Please do not add music or additional watermarks to the video
🔹 Only ONE entry allowed per person
🔹 Deadline to submit an entry is August 23 at 11:59PM ET
🔹 Must be 13 years or older or have a parent’s permission to submit your video
🔹 Have fun :)
SUBMITTING YOUR VIDEO (2 steps - please read carefully!):
1️⃣ Post the video of your final topple on social media (YouTube, Instagram, or Twitter) using the hashtag #H5dominocommunity in your caption
2️⃣ Submit the link to your topple video plus the 2 photos with a clock in the background showing the time you started and stopped building at https://Hevesh5.com/submissions for a chance to be included in the final collaborative community compilation. Note: We cannot guarantee that all videos submitted will make it into the final video.
