Here are some more of things I don’t like in Gacha. These ones are more nit-picky, but I just want more stories that are original. Also these are just my opinion, if these don’t bother you, that’s great. I’ve read too many books where and I’ve watched too many mini movies, that these common tropes just get annoying. Like, most of the time I can perfectly guess what’s gonna happen. Like side tangent, I can watch a GMM I can already guess who the main couple is, who the rival is, what miscommunication problem there is, and in the end it's gonna be like that’s how we met or they end up together. Like, one day I wanna watch a GMM that ends where the main couple don’t end up together. That’s why I like Hxannah so much. Her stories aren’t always mainly romance and actually have an interesting plot and characters.
The characters are the ones that bother me the most. Maybe it’s cause going from book characters to Gacha characters isn’t that fair cause there isn’t enough time to flesh out characters, but I swear, every character acts the same. The main character, who is usually a girl, is either sweet and wholesome or a complete bitch and is usually a tomboy. That one actually bothers me a lot. Like not all tomboys are girl versions of boys. Tomboys just don’t really like feminine things. Not all tomboys act cold or like a complete douchebag or a tsundere from an anime. This bothers me a lot because I consider myself like a half tomboy. I’d rather wear shorts instead of skirts, I don’t really wanna wear makeup, I love videogames and sports, but like, no one acts like a tsundere, no one acts like “ugh, I won’t let anyone get close to me” and act mean for it. I think that’s why I don’t really like watching GMM’s anymore. No one acts like an actual person would. Like the teenagers act like 10 year olds and do nothing a teenager would. Like I still watch them if I see one that looks interesting, but everything is so predictable.
