It's not just the old west that had a lawless appeal. There are actually places today that genuinely have no laws. Such places are usually the most dangerous regions of the globe, places where society has been torn apart by war. Prime examples of this are Libya and Somalia. Bir Tawil is a tiny parcel of land at the border Egypt shares with Sudan. It is here where we see the exact opposite of most land disputes. Strangely, neither country claims to own it.
