Everyone has got their world view and sometimes, quite irrationally, we will defend our views to the death. This is partly because your brains appreciate order. The brain is constantly trying to sort things out so we have a good sense of “what is” in the world around us. This simple act, much of which is subconscious, is actually imperative to our survival instincts. So when someone pokes holes in your sense of order, it can feel like your whole life is a lie. Well, lucky for you, there’s some fun headed your way. If you don’t like to be poked in the axioms, you might not want to know the evidence out there that proves your life is a lie. I mean, it takes an awfully mature and introspective person to be able to handle the news that, a lot of times, oranges in fact aren’t orange. You now have to shift your perspective to accommodate for the fact that the orange you’re holding might not have been orange at all. Also, there’s the philosophical question: which came first, the color or the fruit? All those years you spent, thinking life was one way, only to discover that it was a myth! Society is not what you think it is. Changing your ideas about the world isn’t for the faint-hearted. But if you handled the news about oranges alright, then you might be able to handle these 10 photos that prove your life is a lie. Luckily, you most likely won’t need your tinfoil hat for these ones. But I can’t promise anything. Keep your tinfoil hat ready, just in case it gets to be too much.
