We all love animation movies. They just have something for everybody. A little bit of action, some intrigue, romance, humour and a whole lot of magic. Think of Peter Pan, and the enchantment of never growing up. Or the mystery and adventure of the Road to El Dorado! They manage to make the oldest of us feel young again. And even the hardcore among us have their favourite animation movie.
Along with our love of animation movies, comes a deep respect for animators. Back in the day, they had to draw every scene, every movement and they had to make it work. That is pretty impressive considering that most of us can’t even draw a stick figure correctly. Nowadays, it is a little easier to create an animation movie. Well, a little easier but not much less time consuming.
That being said, it must be remembered that animators are just huan. And along with being human, they make mistakes. Their mistakes are just a little subtler, and unless you’re very nit picky, like us, you won’t even notice them. But discussing the mistakes animators make can be just as entertaining as the movies themselves. They even make great conversation starters, and if you’re an evil person at heart, you could always begin by asking what a person’s favourite animated movie is, then proceed to wreck their childhood for them. I mean, that’s usually fun, isn’t it?
