His technique for preparing and seasoning meat became an Internet sensation. Gokce became more known through a series of viral Internet videos and memes from January 2017 which show him "suavely" cutting meat and sprinkling salt, his fame came from a viral video, "Ottoman Steak". In December 2017, he received criticism for a 2016 photo posing in front of an image of Fidel Castro. In September 2018, Gokce was criticized by Marco Rubio and the Miami city council after Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro dined at Gokce's Istanbul restaurant, with Rubio calling Gokce a "weirdo"; as of 2020, Nurs-Et has branches in Abu Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. In November 2019, four of Gokce's former employees accused him of getting a share of their tips. A trial was set to take place to investigate the issue, before which Gokce reached a settlement with his former employees and paid them $230,000; as to why he had fired them and destroyed his carrier too.

Wesley Trent Snipes born July 31, 1962, is an American actor, film producer, martial artist. In 1997, he won the Best Actor Volpi Cup at the 54th Venice Film Festival for his performance in New Line Cinema's One Night Stand. In 1998, Snipes had his largest commercial success with Blade, which has grossed over $150 million worldwide. Snipes was also charged with six counts of willfully failing to file federal income tax returns by their filing dates; the conspiracy charge against Snipes alleged that he filed a false amended return, including a false tax refund claim of over $4 million for the year 1996, and a false amended return, including a false tax refund claim of over US$7.3 million for the year 1997.
