Televangelists have an absolutely wild perspective of the ten commandments. There’s a big push right now to put them in classrooms across the country, and the justifications they give are paper thin. Jack Hibbs, for example, thinks teachers are taking advantage of kids because they aren’t following the ten commandments. And apparently a picture of the ten commandments will fix that problem. If that were really happening — which it’s not, but if it were — I would recommend that each classroom has a teaching assistant. But who knows — maybe a picture on the wall would fix it.
