Cartoon fans know some shows are known for pushing the envelope when it comes to what they can get on air. When it comes to adult cartoons, the lines are pretty blurry in terms of what flies and what doesn’t. But in this video, we’re not talking about the usual suspects like Family Guy or South Park we know and love. Today, we’re talking about the cartoon shows you might have watched growing up that we’re supposed to be completely kid-friendly. That is, until some of these pretty inappropriate episodes made serious waves among fans and networks. We’re talking Mickey Mouse, Fairly Odd Parents - even Spongebob Squarepants!
From references to dangerously unhealthy habits to dark images of the after life that would give any kid nightmares, we’ve made a list of banned cartoon shows! We all know some older cartoons wouldn’t fly for today’s fans but these crossed one too many lines. As a result, they were booted off networks, re-runs and even streaming services! Who knew seemingly sweet and innocent, My Little Pony could be so controversial!
