Christopher Reyer forscht am Potsdam-Institut für Klimafolgenforschung zur Wirkung des Klimawandels auf Wälder.
Reyer´s research interests are related to key elements of sustainability research, namely climate change impacts on forests and all other kinds of socio-ecological systems, adaptation to these impacts as well as how resilience, sustainable development and sustainable natural resource management interact with climate impacts. Recently, he was coordinating lead author of a report prepared for the World Bank (Turn down the Heat) in which he studied climate impacts in different regions of the world and their implications for development. Currently, he is working in the Inter-Sectoral Impact Model Intercomparison Project (ISI-MIP) coordinating the forest and biome sector activities and leads the COST Action FP1304 PROFOUND. Moreover, he is the 'special issue editor' for the journal Regional Environmental Change handling regular papers but particularly all special issue papers.
