This week at The Collaboratory, we didn’t build a project - we helped simulate one.
Fire, EMS, police, and command staff ran a full-scale mass casualty training exercise inside our building. The scenario was controlled. The intensity was real.
As someone who serves alongside these crews and also built The Collaboratory, opening the doors for this kind of training hit close to home.
When first responders prepare for worst-case scenarios, they need real spaces. Real obstacles. Real chaos.
So we gave them one.
The Collaboratory was designed to be more than a workshop. It’s a creative hub. A community space. A place where making meets mission.
This week, that mission meant supporting the people who show up when everything goes sideways.
No resin pours.
No CNC builds.
Just controlled chaos for a very real purpose.
