The soundtrack of the [Land of the Morning Light] consists of music that'll give you an enjoyable experience of gugak. The goal of this project was to give you the experience of classic, traditional gugak played on modern instruments in a melody that expresses the beauty of Korea in the [Land of the Morning Light].
The fifth composition of the 6-part Land of the Morning Light soundtrack, "Samulnori", was birthed by studying the rhythm of the beautiful traditional Korean Samulnori music and reiterating it with computer music.
"Samulnori", which can be directly translated to "the play of four objects", uses four percussion instruments where each represents a facet of nature: the "kkwaenggwari" as thunder, the "janggu" as rain, the "buk" as clouds, and the "jing" as wind.
As this genre is rhythmically based and devoid of melody, the resulting music is both exuberant and emotionally charged, is sometimes deeply profound, and conveys a raw sense of humanity throughout.
This Samulnori music will be used within a variety of "Land of the Morning Light" content, such as in cutscenes and combat.
✔︎ Pungmulnori: Pungmulnori, used in cutscenes and the Storybook, was edited and restructured using Samulnori instruments.
✔︎ Samulnori- Samdo Nongak Garak: Created for combat music by selecting and rearranging certain melodies of the "Samdo Nongak Garak", which combines the Pungmul Garak (traditional rhythmic pattern of Korean percussion) of three Korean provinces.
✔︎ Utdari Pungmul: Features the complete performance of "Utdari Pungmul", which integrates the traditional music of the Gyeonggi, Gangwon, and Chungcheong provinces.

The music in [Land of the Morning Light] is composed to reflect the beauty of Korean aesthetics and the charm of traditional Korean music, Gugak.
Among them, the battle music for Black Shrine - Boss is a fusion of traditional Korean music and modern music. The dynamic beauty of the ever-changing melodies in traditional Korean music combined with the intensity of modern orchestration offers a unique experience.
The rhythm instruments that provide an exciting and intense feel, such as kkwaenggwari), buk, janggu, jing, and bara, the clear sound of the taepyeongso that awakens the refreshing sense of battle, and the mournful and mysterious tones of the daegeum and gayageum that add to the epic narrative of the battle—all these unique sounds of traditional Korean instruments combined with modern musical elements deliver a powerful sense of tension and energy to the player during battles.

[BLACKOUT LIGHT]은 기억과 시간을 잃은 한 남성이 자신의 정체성과 삶을 되찾기 위해 나아가는 여정을 담은 클래스 테마곡이다.
Clockwork Electronica와 Future Garage를 기반으로 한 전자 사운드 위에 Alternative Rock의 질감을 더해, 기계적인 시간의 흐름과 인간의 감정을 동시에 표현했다. 절제된 긴장감 속에서 점차 감정을 쌓아 올리는 전개는, 상실과 각성을 거쳐 결단에 이르는 주인공의 내면을 음악적으로 그려낸다.
보컬에는 깊이 있는 감정 표현과 폭발적인 몰입감을 지닌 싱어송라이터 홍이삭이 참여했다.
포크와 록, 얼터너티브, 팝을 자유롭게 넘나드는 폭넓은 음악성을 바탕으로 자신만의 독창적인 사운드를 구축해 왔으며, JTBC 〈싱어게인 3〉 우승을 통해 대중성과 음악성을 동시에 인정받았다. 특히 호흡과 공간감을 활용한 섬세한 표현, 후반부로 갈수록 감정을 응축해 폭발시키는 특유의 보컬 전개는 현실과 비현실의 경계를 오가는 [BLACKOUT LIGHT]의 서사와 높은 몰입감을 만들어낸다.
기타에는 밴드 칵스(The Koxx) 출신 기타리스트 이수륜이 참여하여 특유의 감각적인 톤과 질감으로 곡의 긴장감과 에너지를 완성했다.
전자음악과 밴드 사운드, 그리고 시네마틱한 서사가 하나로 결합된 [BLACKOUT LIGHT]은 현실과 비현실의 경계를 넘나드는 새로운 게임 음악의 방향성을 제시한다.
