Well, in this episode of The Canote Adventures, I ventured off with my friend Iris and we recreated quite the magical scene, like what you would see in a Jim Henson type film. Jim Henson type films such as The Dark Crystal or Labyrinth starring David Bowie. For this shoot I used the Sony A7Sii, an assortment of lenses, and the Ikan EC1 gimbal. I am so excited to share with you, a little project that Laura Newton Canote and I were working on last week.I had several people ask me about this upcoming series on HGTV, called "Hometown Take-Over", where small towns were being considered for a hometown make over.Anyone could submit their small town, with less than 40k residents, a working Main Street, and any businesses, homes, and buildings that needed some HGTV TLC.Our submission video (which was optional, but of course we took this opportunity to make one) really highlights the great community and beautiful area that we live, work, and play. We loved featuring local, small business owners, including Dan & Sheila Wyatt, who have owned their hardware store for over 30 years. And Alissa Newton Saffle, who's owned and operated her resale store for almost 16 years. We really have some amazing people, businesses, and history in our little town. We just need a little help getting things cleaned up.We'd also like to thank Officer Steve Huggins for really serving our community in such a great way. I set up a carnival at our house and the police came! Canote Films 2019-07-02 | SUBSCRIBE! To celebrate 70,000 thousand YouTube subscribers, I secretly set up a carnival/Summer block party, to be set up in our very own front yard! My wife and kids (Laura, Lily and Myles) had no idea! They were so surprised that I actually called GOAT Events and had our very own carnival in our front yard! I invited a lot our friends and family too to join in on the fun. But, the Forsyth Police showed up and nearly shut us down!We had so many fun things from GOAT Events like The Big Baller, which resembles the ball obstacle course from Wipe Out! We had the 'Surfs Up' ride, which was a surfboard simulator. We also had 'The Sabre Tooth Tiger Slide' which was a 2 story plus super slide. And of course, we had a bounce house and giant Connect 4. We only had about 24 actual hours to write, shoot and edit the film b/c of work.I hope you all enjoy!SATO48 is a filmmakers challenge in which participants must create a 5 minute or less short film in under 48 hours, while following a specific structure ( inspiration package ) presented to all filmmaking teams at the SATO kickoff.
