My favorite part of this drive was coming down Mountain Pass (at 3:41:34) and seeing the 12-mile stretch of freeway in front through the valley.

Unclecoolie Productions 2022-10-30 | From the Atlantic to the Pacific; here's a road trip that I'd wanted to do since I was a kid, and actively planned to do since 2019 (and the most-requested road trip I've had from my viewers). Unlike my California to New York video, this was done in one trip, over 5 days (September 21-25, 2022), and all done by me and me alone. I also tried to avoid only driving on interstates for this road trip. In fact, I drove on US-50 for more than 1,250 miles (2,000 km) from Bridgeport, WV to Garden City, KS. I did this in a 2022 Honda Ridgeline.

This video starts at Coney Island in Brooklyn (where I had originally intended to end my CA-NY video) and ends in Santa Monica at the exact same parking lot that my CA-NY video started from.

The weather was nice and warm in south Florida; but a cold front came through during the drive back to Virginia, and temperatures quickly dropped once I left Florida with snow on the ground by Virginia and snow coming down by the end.

Unclecoolie Productions 2021-03-07 | From winter to summer—this road trip was done in January, 2021 and done mostly along the Atlantic coastline through six total states and Washington, DC from Virginia to Florida. Overall, weather was decent (but cold or below average temps) throughout most of this trip. Unlike previous road trips, I've included the outside temperatures in this video. Also, this video—while over 7 hours (at 4x time-lapse)—is presented in UHD. Unclecoolie Productions 2020-06-28 | This is day 1 of a 2-day road trip to West Virginia, done on July 13, 2019. Because of the popularity of the real time version of my southwest road trip, I decided to upload this in real time first.
This starts out near my home in Herndon, Virginia and ends in Vienna, West Virginia. Day 2 in real time will be next.
Back when I uploaded my first West Virginia road trip in June 2017, I mainly only uploaded it for friends and family to see, and I didn't have any following. Looking back, I was not happy with how that video was edited, and that is part of the reason why I did this trip. Like with my first trip, I didn't do this drive because I was simply trying to go from point A to point B; I wanted to explore and visit many of the places I used live in or visit many years ago, such as Bridgeport, WV; Montgomery, WV; and South Charleston, WV; among others.

Washington to Washington in under 90 Minutes!

Unclecoolie Productions 2020-05-30 | 3,142 miles (5,056 km) in under 90 minutes, from Washington to Washington! This is a 32x speed of my now popular road trip from May 3-6, 2018. Since I speeded up this road trip by 8x faster than what my 11-hour, time-lapse version was uploaded at, I increased the frame rate to 60 fps. I also reduced the subtitles to only what town/city I was passing through at the moment, and I added some music to this video. The other graphics are shown as with my previous videos, with the addition of the distance display. Since the distance display only shows the distance since the last stop in the video, I added text just below it stating the total distance of the trip done up to the last stop.

Ely, NV to Las Vegas, NV (via UT) - A Complete Road Trip

Unclecoolie Productions 2020-03-06 | This is day 3 of my southwest road trip: Ely to Las Vegas via Utah, done on October 4, 2019. Like with the previous two days of the trip, the weather was great. It started off at 30°F (-1°C) in Ely, but warmed up throughout the day. The warmest temp of the day was actually in the desert of Nevada just before arriving in Las Vegas at the end: 86°F (30°C)

This starts out in Ely on US-50 (the "Loneliest Road in America") into Utah and over to Escalante National Monument, then to Bryce Canyon N.P. and through Zion N.P. before heading back to Las Vegas on I-15.

There is some footage of Escalante, Bryce Canyon, and Zion from stops. The Bryce Canyon footage is from my August 2017 trip (that's part of my Nebraska to California video) as I didn't actually stop at Bryce Canyon in this trip.

Fresno, CA to Ely, NV - A Complete Road Trip

Unclecoolie Productions 2020-02-28 | This is day 2 of my southwest road trip: Fresno to Ely, done on October 3, 2019. As with the first day, the weather was beautiful the entire day, and also cool. It was 48°F (9°C) in Fresno that morning, and the highest temperature was 77°F (25°C) in the middle of the Nevada desert, near Austin.

This starts out in Fresno, then up through Yosemite N.P., Lake Tahoe, Carson City, Reno, and then east through the Nevada desert on US-50 (the Loneliest Road in America).

Las Vegas, NV to Fresno, CA - A Complete Road Trip

Unclecoolie Productions 2020-02-22 | This is day 1 of my southwest road trip: Las Vegas to Fresno, done on October 2, 2019. The weather was beautiful the entire day, but surprisingly chilly for early October. It was 48°F (9°C) in Las Vegas that morning, and the highest temperature of this day was 80°F (26°C) in Death Valley (at about 34:00), which is also mild for that area for early October.

This starts out in western Las Vegas, then through Valley N.P., Bakersfield, and Sequoia N.P. before ending in Fresno for the day. The GPS information is missing after visiting the General Sherman Tree, the last 30 minutes of this video.

Herndon, VA to St. Johns, NL: A Complete Road Trip

A German Road Trip: Stuttgart to Neuschwanstein Castle

Unclecoolie Productions 2019-05-04 | A scenic winter drive from the southern part of Stuttgart to the Neuschwanstein Castle at the northern precipice of the German-Austrian Alps. This 216-km (134 mile) drive took place in a Ford Transit on February 17, 2019, and through two German states: Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria. The original audio was removed due to both copyrighted music being played on the radio and persons talking in the van who did not grant permission to use their speech in this video. This video is in UHD (3,840 x 2,160) at 2x speed, with non-copyrighted music.

This video covers almost the entirety of I-95 from Houlton, Maine to Miami, Florida, with the exception of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This video takes place over three different trips: Across the Island of Newfoundland of Newfoundland and Labrador; Nova Scotia to Springfield, Virginia; and Springfield, Virginia to Key West, Florida.

To be clear, St. John's is considered an oceanic climate, but there are parts of the island of Newfoundland that are considered subarctic, such as Channel-Port aux Basques.

A Beautiful West Coast Road Trip (San Diego, CA to Vancouver, BC)

Unclecoolie Productions 2018-09-13 | This trip begins in San Diego, but ends in Vancouver. This road trip is the best that can be offered of the west coast, especially of the Pacific Coast Highway. This video includes nearly the entire Pacific Coast Highway, from Dana Point to Leggett, with the exception of the stretch between San Simeon and Lucia due to road closure (because of mud/rock slides). The Pacific Ocean can frequently be seen from San Diego to Southwest Washington; after which, the road trip turns inland through Seattle and then up to Vancouver. I'd wanted to begin this trip in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, but I abandoned the idea when I found out the morning that I began this trip (less than 2 km from the Mexican border) that the border crossing waits were over an hour.

The highest elevation of this drive is 813 m in Monterey County at N36° 0' 39.1", W121° 27' 21.1" (2:34:59). The lowest elevation is at sea level multiple times throughout this video. With the exception of the detour away from the Pacific Coast Highway in San Luis Obispo and Monterey Counties, the temperatures throughout this trip ranged from 51-63 F (10-17 C) between San Diego and Vancouver. I recorded a temperature of 86 F (30 C on US-101 near San Miguel, CA, which is the warmest temperature of this trip.

On another note, the Canada/U.S. border crossing of I-5/BC-99 is the busiest of all of the U.S./Canada crossing, but I only had about a 2-minute wait to cross into Canada; But I had a 45 minute wait to cross back into the U.S. just two hours later.
