Buying gels can be SO expensive, even cellophane is now super pricey...now you have an affordable alternative that will make your photos and videos stand out!

List of Material:
plastic (shower curtain, or plastic table cover, etc)
Marker (if you wish)
paint roll or paint brush
a stick or something to mix it
Lights..
Option 1:
Varnish (any type)
acrylic paint (even the cheap one)
Option 2:
Food coloring
Gel medium (any brand)
varnish
Mix until the color looks like what you are going for. Add more pigment if you think it is not bold enough. To store them, I recommand you put a piece of wax paper in between each gel sheet, that way nothing will stick.
Do at least 2 layers to have a great bold GEL color.
Works for video lights and flash
