#05: Generating Success

The second area of the mine seems to be much more developed, structure-wise; there's a lot more technology around, seemingly, including a rather large generator that's currently offline. There's a large powered gate blocking the way forth into the rest of the mine, which is likely opened once the generator comes online.

I come across a radio in the far room, no use for it at the moment, but the receiver has a repeating morse code coming into it. The pattern seems to be: ..... --... ...-- ---..

To get the generator online, I need to find a battery, turn a series of valve in a specific sequence, and fix a blown fuse; once all that is taken care of... we have power!

ABOUT THE GAME:

Penumbra: Overture (2007), by Frictional Games, is the first chapter of a survival horror series that preceded the more well-known game Amnesia: The Dark Descent. It features much of the same elements - a dynamic physics engine, gameplay that emphasizes puzzle-solving, and instilling psychological horror based on an inability to fight back against the game's monsters.

The story begins when our character, Philip, receives a mysterious letter from the father he never knew shortly after his mother's funeral. A series of clues leads Philip to an isolated part of Northern Greenland, where he begins searching for answers.
