In this video, I explain my thoughts on crafting in POE 2 and how I made 10-13+ Mirror of Kalandra while basically afk. I only "play" the game to purchase items that get flagged on POE live search that have 4-5 good mods that I want, then I craft on them.

Video TLDR:

Crafting in POE 2 is way better than people think. The average person can create 4-5 very good mod items fairly cheaply and top players can craft near perfect 6 mod items within the first few weeks of a league.

The "average" player should be identifying ground loot (weapons mostly) and exalt or chaos spam 3-4 good mod items. These items will turn into 5 good mod items roughly 10-20% of the time and be worth 10+ divines each.

Changes I would suggest:
1. Switch the Exalt drop rate with the Chaos drop rate. This will allow more chaos spamming to get 4-5 good mod items.
2. Omen of Whittling are too strong to create perfect items. They should be removed from game.
3. Many high end omens are too rare resulting in them only being able to be used by top 0.01% of players and only usable on weapons and ring crafts.
4. Essences need to be buffed.
5. Expedition vendors need to be buffed.
