!!! Attention: In this experiment I use high voltage, only experiment if you know how to handle high voltage and at your own risk !!!
In this video we can see that as long we have a high voltage we can keep the negative field alive by Earth ground. The positive however discharges itself whether we use a diode or not.
In this setup there's no resonance involved, only DC voltage.
I did the experiment with glass tube to test if my polarity meter could show a continuous positive field and this was the case so the discharge we see from the positive field is there.
