20 Years of Blues Clues: Reacting to the First Episode Scott Wild 2016-09-07 | On September 8, 1996, a certain show appeared on Nickelodeon airwaves for the first time, and has become a household item ever since. It's now 20 years since that first episode, and me being the hardcore fan of the show that I am, I'll be reacting to the first episode, with a guest: Brendan Barney.Disclaimer: In order to understand what I was watching, you need to have a copy of Season 1 Episode 1 in your possession. KWTX-10 local bit on Jerry Lewis Telethon 2004 Scott Wild 2018-07-01 | This 30 minute clip was the most interesting bit I found on one of my VHS tapes. This happened on September 6, 2004, where the MDA Telethon hosted by Jerry Lewis was the biggest deal. Aside from the national show bit, they also had local CBS affliates join in the Telethon too. When I saw this, I had struck gold in finding old KWTX content. Some of the people in this like Gordon Collier, Julie Hays, and Rusty Garrett still work for KWTX to this day, and the other people I do remember from back in the day, but have since left the station years ago. I hope you enjoy this bit of local content that I was able to dig up.
Guiding Light Opening (September 2004) (with KWTX-10 screenbug) Scott Wild 2018-07-01 | This was recorded on September 1, 2004. Sorry for the bad quality. I actually had to sew the clip together since there were areas of no color.For those who may not know what this is, this was the longest running soap-opera of all time, Guiding Light. I have fond memories of this show as a child, since this is what my mom watched back in the day. In my experience, this theme was my favorite one, but they only used for about a year and a half. I never really followed the story all that much, and was more interested in the music and emotions portrayed by the actors. This is a gem that I found, and I hope you enjoy it.

Channel Surfing during the Parkland Shooting (2/14/2018) Scott Wild 2018-05-05 | So this is a video ive been sitting on for a few months, because I honestly didn’t know what to do at the time. I was in my dorm room watching TV when the breaking news came on. I waited about 30 minutes before I started to record this little video. There were 6 different channels on the air breaking the story (when there weren’t confirmed fatalities at that time.) The rest of the channels I was receiving were doing their regular programming.I never realized how big this story turned out to be, and now it being almost 3 months after, I thought I might share. And considering the political nature of the topic at hand, please be aware that this is only up for historical reasons. I don’t represent any views that may or may not be discussed in the comments.

Sorry for any audio and video issues as these came from old VHS tapes recorded off the air.Also, I had accidently left in an episode segment in the last upload, and not wanting to get a copyright strike, I deleted that one and immediately made changes.A couple things to note:One, I have been extremely busy with college, so I never had time to do any of these videos. I've also been away from my VHS player to get new content onto my computer.Two, I have been alarmed that my PBS station, KNCT, would be stopping TV and Radio operations by the end of the decade (I think around 2020.) Knowing that I haven't found a tape that was filled with PBS content, I decided to combine what I had, and give this as a sort of gift to those interested in my PBS content (especially after seeing some users use my home station in fan-made videos)Three, I have notice as well that people just take my entire upload, and put it up as their own. I was fine with people taking clips to showcase with proper credit, but there are also those that just steal the entire video in order to gain traffic to their channel.Starting now, I will have a little watermark in a corner of the video saying "TornadoSponge's Original Video Copy", so those who do upload the entire thing will be known.If you wish to continue to use individual clips, you could theatrically let me know if you wanted to. Connell Grand Chevrolet Commerical 2002 Scott Wild 2017-12-28 | NOTE: Do not ask for requests or trades, as I'm currently unavailable to do so.Since I don't have a good video editing software anymore, I guess I wanted to upload a clip I already have, but never got around to uploading. This was a local commercial for a Chevrolet Dealership in my hometown of Copperas Cove. In 2009, the dealer went out of business, and the building sat empty for years until Pet Supplies Plus moved in, and now operate the property. This place was a vivid memory for me, as I remember being there a couple times in my youth. Enjoy this relic from the past.

Weather Alerts during Its a Wonderful Life on NBC (KCEN) December 1997 Scott Wild 2017-01-15 | Disclaimer: This video's sole intent is to be stored as historical and education. The whole product was not used, just clips needed to show what an event it was during that time.Recorded off the air from NBC-affiliated station, KCEN Channel 6 News, sometime in December of 1997. From my understanding of the tape, it was recording "It's a Wonderful Life", but some severe weather was in the Central Texas region (my home area). Lots of weather scrolls, and even some weather bulletin interruptions.From the beginning of the recording, up until the first clip showcased in this video, the videotape damage is unbelievable, rendering it almost unwatchable. This is what I was able to salvage, so enjoy!

I believe these commercials were from between February and March of 2003 and included the "Play Along Time with Dora and Blue". Also, there is a cut in the recordings so I have commercials from two different days on the tape. Resulting in more than 1 hour of commercials! Please enjoy these.UPDATE: Certain clips had to be cut because Viacom copyright claimed them, and blocked it in 248 countries. I have removed the deemed clips, and hopefully, this should resolve any issues with the video. So, unfortunately, you won't be able to see the rare audio soundbites that involved the "Play Along Time with Dora and Blue", since they were in credit sequences. Thank you for understanding.

A Tribute to KWTX10 News Scott Wild 2016-09-23 | So, there is this news station that I have watched more than any other, got to meet a couple of people that work there, and even visit it recently. KWTX News is Central Texas's local CBS affiliate stationed in Waco, Texas.The station is most likely known for filming devastating events such as the Waco Siege, the Jarrell Texas Tornado, and most recently, following the ever growing controversies at Baylor University.Wayne Claiborne was a legend back before I was even born, and has since passed away. Some notable people to mention in this too are Rusty Garrett and Gordan Collier, who both still work at KWTX as of this upload. These two I have seen on TV as long as I can remember, and I've especially wanted to someday meet these local legends.These are all taken from tapes in my archives and have been filmed in the 90's and 00's.
