Beautiful Snake leaving our homestead - Chicken or Corn Snake? Bill Rhetts 2024-04-23 | As I left our property, I saw this beautiful snake slithering across our gravel driveway. By the time I grabbed the cellphone camera, it was basking on the warmth of the asphalt. This is the time of the year when it’s warm enough for snakes to be seen – a lot. But since it’s not hot yet, they prefer the warmth of the pavement. That’s why we see so many dead snakes in the roadway. So be careful of snakes crossing or basking in the sun. After further research, I believe this snake belongs somewhere within the King Snake family, but I could be wrong. Update: As per a YouTuber / FB friend, it’s a Chicken snake. God must be man’s summum bonum. Man’s chief end is to glorify God and enjoy him forever. For non-Christian ethics of every sort the ultimate summum bonum can be no more than an abstract principle of goodness. Idealistic philosophy may speak of the eternal idea of the good, but this idea is not as eternal as it seems to be. It is no more than the correlative to a universe of change. For all non-Christian ethics change is ultimate, and therefore correlative to any ultimate principle of ethics men may think they have. The result is that there is nothing that is absolutely unchangeable. For idealism, too, personality cannot be ultimate. God himself is next to and therefore really subject to the principle of the Good. Thus the subject and the adjective or the particular and the universal of ultimate ethical reality are separated. Once this separation is effected, there is no telling to what lengths men may go in their ethical theories. If the kingdom of the absolute God is not made the summum bonum for man there is nothing. In 2011 I leaked intel warning SoCal of terrorism threats, before the FBI did Bill Rhetts 2023-11-01 | FBI Director Christopher Wray recently warned “We are in a dangerous period” due to the threat level of terrorism. Forgive me for saying this, but “I told you so.” Years ago I gave presentations all over the heartland. I thought this was another way to ‘love thy neighbor.” But only to become perplexed and disheartened by how apathetic America’s Christendom has become. One threat to Christians is the comfortable, complacent, cozy sheep sitting amongst themselves. The sheepdogs are needed, but they are few and far between, and are being written off as “troublemakers.” In 2011, as seen in the below video, I leaked classified information to the public that Hamas & and Al Qaeda were actively training in SoCal. And of the presence of Russian and Iranian Mafia in Los Angeles, and how it all ties together. That the most imminent threat then, was a jihadist attack on our water infrastructure. That if this occurred in this county, 50,000 would die in the first 24 hours, and many more over the next week. And those proposed deaths would have been isolated to the biological attack on our water. Though the media never knew, one attack on our water infrastructure was thwarted by one policeman. Muslims are patient in their preparation, and the plans they made then, may take them 10 to 20 years to carry out, we are now in that timeline. Hence, the FBI is giving vague warnings. However, I did not just complain about threats of terrorism, or fearmonger the people. I offered a solution to the problem. I strived to encourage them to be prepared in both physical and spiritual realms. And to lead by example, I infiltrated Palestinian-Hamas rallies, with the Law and Gospel. Yes, God is sovereign over all matters. Though God is not the Author of sin, He decrees all things to occur, including evil things, including what happens in Israel and the Gaza Strip, including the future of America. He’s got the whole world in His hand. But God has called men to lead and protect.I love church history. I love the Christianity that wasn’t passive, playful, and worldly. Venomous Eastern Copperhead snake Bill Rhetts 2023-08-07 | This immediate area is highly populated with snakes. I saw this venomous Copperhead about 50’ from where I spotted this Water Moccasin. I don’t always have a camera, or when I do, the snakes slither away before I get a shot. In this encounter, I was tasked with handling my snake tongs in one hand, and a flashlight and GoPro in the other. Consequently, I did not hit the record button, so I went back on got this secondary footage before Mr. Snake disappeared. A “Christian” woman called me an “ego maniac” and “very offensive.” Why? For preaching the glorious Gospel. She tried to shut me down, she complained to the SSA, and then she called the police.It is my policy to ‘generally’ not engage with hecklers, as that can turn into sinful quarreling; perhaps I fell on my own sword. Although we are called to ‘contend for the faith,’ and/or ‘be ready to give an answer,’ and yes ‘rebuking’ is also Biblical. Nonetheless this woman re-engaged me, as I was leaving.I wasn’t going to upload this discussion, but since so many ‘professing’ Christians either lie or exaggerate as to how we Heralds preach, I believe is was necessary to include this conversation. After reviewing the video, I see what her main problem is. She said “My Jesus is a beautiful man.” What does the Scripture say about that youtu.be/Yy0obUVi9HY ?In spite of this obstacle, the Lord caused ‘five others’ to ‘give thanks’ for the preaching, and to encourage me to ‘press on.’I ended this video by including a clip of a metrosexual “pastor” from my own community. A Tornadic Supercell devastates the South, my community & the morning after video-footage Bill Rhetts 2023-04-02 | We’ve been in Tennessee for 12 months, and this was the first time I felt it necessary to go underground, and it’s a great prayer place.It was not an average tornado as we’ve previously experienced. It was part of a Tornadic Supercell that created simultaneous chaos and fatal devastation among multiple States. I was monitoring and assisting with Emergency Communications on Ham Radio. This was the first tornado I experienced at the highest level of threat. The lowest being an alert, then a watch, then a warning, but this alert announced a tornado “emergency.”The aftermath.There’s much more damage that I did not video. But due to nails and debris, I did not want to drive into those areas. Our home and our immediate neighbors were untouched. But many homes in the surrounding areas were devastated. The tornado not only demolished some homes but also cleaned up the debris for the owners. In other words, they don’t even need a clean-up. I hear conflicting stories about fatalities in our city, but at the time of this blog post, here is a preliminary report for our County alone.-7 fatalities-50+ persons missing-59 homes in one city are totally gone, and many more are destroyed or damaged-An unknown number of people were rescued and hospitalizedThese tornados do not discriminate. Even the historical mansion on the hill owned by Waylon Jennings is “gone.” And the spooky thing is, most of us never even saw the tornado.Moreover, as I stated regarding the recent tornado in Mississippi. God is sovereign, His holy hand is on the thermostat, He decrees the degrees and these storms, and a greater storm that is apocalyptic in nature is coming. Choking a snake out of a Chickens mouth Bill Rhetts 2023-03-29 | I guess a man is never too old to enjoy life like a boy. While inside the house, I saw some of our chickens chasing a hen that had something hanging from her mouth. I wasn’t wearing my eyeglasses, so it was too blurry to discern right away. Nonetheless, a snake expert later identified it as a “harmless red bellied snake, Storeria occipitomaculata.”Sadly, as I was further examining it, a Hen snuck up behind me, grabbed it and swiftly inhaled it.
