The results are in - our fifth Create a Mario Party Board Contest has come to an end! This contest was based around the concept of time. That could mean a number of things including different eras of history, time travel and time machines, day/night mechanics, and a focus on characters related to or based on time.
Yes, this is a long video clocking in at a little over three hours! Too long, in fact. We got a bit carried away in our discussion but we also managed to give each board the spotlight it deserves. Expect 5-15 minutes spent discussing each one. Here are some timestamps to make it easier to jump around:
0:00 - Introduction
6:50 - Radical Space Typhoon
15:22 - Ancient Ruins
24:45 - Forget-Me-Not Frontier
37:37 - Memory Loop
45:22 - Luigi's Clock Madness
58:07 - Mornight
1:08:51 - The Circle Of Life
1:21:37 - Timeless Ruins
1:32:42 - Tick Tock Time
1:47:14 - Tic-Star-Clock
1:58:18 - Mossgreen Woods
2:13:39 - T.A.R.D.I.S.
2:26:56 - Clockwork Courtyard
2:46:10 - La Koopastille
3:02:15 - Ending
Our 14 submissions have been carefully studied and reviewed and now it's time for SuperZambezi (Michael Koczwara) and SpiderStaryu to sit down and chat about the good and the bad of each board. The goal in our criticism is to help you in the best way that we can. We will point out the things that we love and the things that we do not love. Please don't take anything to heart, we are so incredibly happy for the turnout and just the fact that people took the time to submit something is already a huge win in everyone's book. Ultimately it is just our opinion!
Each board in the contest can be imported to PartyPlanner64, a custom board editor that allows you to import your own board creations into Mario Party 1, 2, and 3.

Lake Lapcat consists of all three main areas. Scattered about these areas are additional Cat Shines that aren’t counted as part of the total of a specific island. A lot of these one-offs will only appear after a certain Cat Shine is collected or Fury Bowser is defeated a specific number of times. There’s also several Cat Shines that only appear post-game after the credits roll. Any deaths or sections waiting for Bowser to awaken were edited out. Timestamps:

Mario is free to roam around these areas as he collects Cat Shines and unlocks additional islands to explore. The Super Bell is the main power-up here and Plessie can be used to travel from island to island.
