MAMAS BOY // OC Animation Meme Wolfie_elbows 2023-09-10 | Been a while since I uploaded, huh?I don't really have an amazing excuse, I've just been really demotivated lately lolCharacters in order of appearance: Apricity (white cougar main character)Azul (cougar w/ claw marks on chest)Apricity’s cubs (haven’t named ‘em yet)[*This story is still very early in development and is very much subject to change!*]Background lore:When an animal dies, their soul is trapped in their body until they are found by a Soulseeker, who will set their spirit free from their body. If the Soulseeker does not find their body, their soul is forever trapped, unable to make it to the afterlife. When the Soulseeker releases a spirit from its body, they are forced to relive its death & feel its pain. They cannot hunt either, for example: if a wolf who is a Soulseeker bites a deer’s throat and tries to suffocate it, it will also start to suffocate. For this reason, they are forever feeling the pain of starvation, as they are immortal until/if they pass their power onto someone else. Only creatures with albinism, leucism, or melanism can become Soulseekers.Apricity’s story:Azul, the current Soulseeker at that time, kidnapped Apricity at a young age, developing a kind of mentor/apprentice relationship. He raised her with the intention of eventually passing the pain of Soulseeking onto her, unbeknownst to her. However, Apricity did eventually find out, and quickly left. She lived her early adult life as a normal cougar, eventually having a litter of cubs. However it wasn’t long until Azul tracked down the family, killing her cubs while Apricity was out hunting. When Apricity returns, she is grief stricken. Azul, who was suspiciously nearby, appears to “comfort” her. She begs him to free their souls, but he refuses, saying this was her “punishment” for leaving (without revealing he killed them yet.) Heartbroken, Apricity takes the role of the new Soulseeker, in the form of an eye scar, desperate to free the spirits of her kits. She does, however in doing so, relives their deaths by Azul’s claws. She slashes him in the face before running into the forest, living out the rest of eternity in suffrage of this “power” Azul had left her with until he meets his own death by her claws in a forest fire.
