Scorpions - Under the Same Sun - live at The Arsenio Hall Show (10th March 1994) BEST VERSION, 60FPS

Bob Harley 2023-02-08 | In 1994 Scorpions performed at The Arsenio Hall Show and played Under the Same Sun from their 1993 album Face the Heat. Their line-up at that time was:
Klaus Meine - vocals
Rudolf Schenker - rhythm guitar
Matthias Jabs - lead guitar
Ralph Rieckermann - bass guitar
Herman Rarebell - drums
Rarebell would leave the band year later, this is one of last shows with him playing drums recorded on video.

Queen live in Manchester, 16th July 1986 [50FPS, audio replaced, FULL CONCERT] 2022 BH Restoration

Bob Harley 2022-11-29 | 4 days after the second famous Wembley concert, less than a month before the final concert in Knebworth Park. This Queen gig, at Maine Road in Manchester, is truly great, much better than both Wembley concerts. Some high notes are surprisingly not omitted by Freddie, he nailed those.

This is the only available video footage from this gig. It's very distant. This fact combined with the footage not being low generation copy plus digital compression make it difficult to watch. I couldn't do much, but here's color-corrected video, slightly sharpened and properly deinterlaced (watch in 720+p for 50 frames per second), I believe this may be the best copy on YouTube at the moment. Original audio was average sounding mono recording. I replaced it with much better stereo audience recording, probably not as distant as video footage.

Tie Your Mother Down was recorded and released in 1976 on A Day at the Races album. Another hit song, written by Brian May, was included in Live Killers album - this song rendition was recorded entirely in Frankfurt, on 2th February 1979 (it's one of few songs that were not mixed with other performances!).

This specific montage may be a little chaotic, I hope it's not TOO chaotic. Let me think, what do you think about it. Also for the first time, audio comes from 1994 CD release, which is much more well-mixed when comparing to original 1979 vinyl releases.

Released in 1975 on A Night at the Opera album, performed live for the first time in Edinburgh '76, released once again on Live Killers album in 1979. This song used to be a part of band's acoustic set, which usually included also Love of My Life and rarely Dreamers Ball.

Improvised by Freddie Mercury before Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting during Nishinomiya concert on 24th October 1982. After previous performance being almost 3 years before, he hardly remembered the song. Roger Taylor also started playing some drums and the improvisation eventually has morphed into Elton John's song.

This performance of Death On Two Legs (taken from Live Killers album) was mostly recorded in Barcelona, 20th February 1979, which is one of the best Queen live performances during that tour.

This specific audio track is taken from a bootleg of Hammersmith Odeon concert (24/12/1975) which is available for years, before the official release of this concert, which has vocals pitch-corrected. Bootleg audio has no autotune, obviously.

Video feed comes from multiple concerts, mostly it's Rainbow '74 and Hammersmith Odeon '75. And some high quality audience films.

Nirvana (LIVE FULL CONCERT) - December 2nd, 1993, Tallahassee - 2021 Restoration (1440p)

Bob Harley 2021-06-25 | 2021 restoration of this wonderful recording. Both audio and video have been processed. Upscaled to 1440p to enforce vp09 codec. The footage has been recorded on Hi8 format and its master has emerged on 23th April 2017.

This Nirvana concert was a part of In Utero Tour in 1993. The live performance was great and powerful, we're so lucky to watch the full concert. It's like the closest thing to feel like you're really at Nirvana concert.

I'm In Love With My Car needed some time before the first time it was performed live - on 11th November 1977 in Portland. Like the studio recording, every live performance included Roger's vocal. On 1th December 1979 (in Glasgow) Roger forgot some lyrics and got some help from Freddie Mercury.

This Queen Live Montage includes officially released Live Killers album's audio (slightly enhanced by me) and multiple video footages.

Nirvana - Live in Rio de Janeiro - Amateur footage + SBD audio [RESTORED] (23/01/1993) 60 FPS

Bob Harley 2021-03-23 | This is one of two most infamous Nirvana concerts in 1993. After Sao Paulo gig, which is considered as band's worst performance ever, Nirvana played in Rio de Janeiro, which was much more regular than Sao Paulo show, but still unusual. Setlist seems to be pretty normal, altough they jammed The Viletones' Possibilities and Aerosmith's Sweet Emotion. Flea played trumpet during Smells Like Teen Spirit.

This amateur footage is worth watching if you'd like to watch it from a different perspective. It's incomplete, but cameraman's work is really nice, especially when you realize that it's so distant. Audio was replaced with soundboard recording. The only interesting part on amateur footage's original audio was some audience clapping at the beginning of About a Girl like it's The Beatles song.

"The show goes normal till 'Love Buzz'. In his pyjama's pocket, Kurt brought with him a pack of Hollywood cigarettes. He sings the 2nd verse amazingly while smoking the damn cig!! When the song is done they go silent for about 5 seconds. The audience stares at them, not believing in what was happening. Krist decides to say a few words at the microphone. He starts making a speech about hollywood cigarettes, cancer and the zodiac. What he didn't think was that the audience could barely understand what he was saying. They answer Krist by clapping and yelling "Oh Oh Oh" constantly. Kurt jokes with Krist saying "I think Oh Oh means 'shut up Krist!'". Right after that, the band jams on 'Possibilities' with Krist on the vocals. Kurt can be seen smiling as Krist is singing nonsensical words." - livenirvana.com

Written by Roger Taylor, was meant to be included in Sheer Heart Attack album from 1974, but it needed three more years. The first live performance of SHA was 11th November 1977, Portland, and the last one (surprisingly!) was 1st September 1984, Birmingham.

It was played live for the first time on 30th October 1974 in Manchester and the last time was 9th August 1986 in Knebworth Park, which was the last ever Queen concert.

This Queen Live Montage consists of video footages like Rainbow Theatre 1974, Hammersmith Odeon 1975, Hyde Park 1976, Earl's Court 1977 and few audience recordings.

Bob Harley 2020-12-06 | Music video for the Live Killers version of Freddie Mercury's hit-song "Don't Stop Me Now", which was released in 1978 on Jazz album. A year later it was released as a single with "In Only Seven Days" or "More of That Jazz" on B-side (depends on the release). Also in 1979 it was recorded and released on Live Killers - the first Queen live album, recorded during European Jazz Tour in 1979. Exact recording date is unknown.

Queen performed Don't Stop Me now only in 1979, so this videl uses one of the first live audio recordings of the song being played. The last one was famous Hammersmith Odeon 1979 concert on 26th December.

Bob Harley 2020-11-01 | Music video for Tokyo 1985 version of Love of My Life - one of the most famous Queen songs, which was released in 1975 on A Night at the Opera album. In 1979, a live version (recorded in Frankfurt, 2nd February) was released and later became a #1 in singles chart in Brazil and Argentina.

Despite it was recorded and released in 1975, it was played live on 11th November 1977 for the first time, and the last time was in Knebworth, 9th August 1986.

Queen didn't play this song for a long time - the last ever performance of the song took a place in Sapporo, 6th May 1979.

This Queen Live Montage uses Live Killers recording - first Queen live album, which was recorded during '79 European Jazz Tour.

Bob Harley 2020-06-12 | Music video for the Live Killers version of John Deacon's hit-song "Spread Your Wings" released on News of the World (which is probably my favourite) album in 1977, then as a single with "Sheer Heart Attack" on B-side in 1978. This particular version comes from Live Killers - Queen's 1979 live album, which was recorded during their European tour and later overdubbed in studio. Recording date is unknown. Video recordings come from multiple Queen live performances like Paris 1979 and Brussels 1979.

First Spread Your Wings performance took a place on 11th November 1977, but the only available complete video footage at the moment is Paris 1979, which is average-quality one-camera recording. The second most-complete is probably Brussels 1979, which emerged recently in a great quality.
