This is truly a gem on the Aberdeenshire coastal trail, but not for the faint of heart! I was recently able to spend two glorious days cycling along the Aberdeenshire coast, which completes the full 165 miles of the Aberdeenshire Coastline. Embracing the beauty and calm of Autumn in the Scottish Highlands (vlog) Sarah in Scotland 2023-10-07 | I've been enjoying the shift in seasons, especially because autumn is my favorite. Exploring mountains and fairy glens of SKYE in the winter 📷 Sarah in Scotland 2022-12-31 | My final day on Skye was a freezing cold and moody day, so instead of a big hike in the mountains I opted for a few different short visits at some of my favorite locations. Starting at Sligachan, a gorgeous view of the Cuillin mountains, then north to The Fairy Glen in Uig. This green, otherworldly landscape inspires magical tales and is great for peaceful walks. Finally, I ended my day back in Torrin to watch the arctic storm move in over the Cuillin ridge. It was a great ending to my threes on Skye. Solo Hiking on Skye with my Camera (...the perfect day in the mountains) Sarah in Scotland 2022-12-24 | Join me on day two of my three of my solo photography trip to Skye. This was an almost 5 mile loop from Glenbrittle campsite up to the base of the Black Cuillins. To be honest I need to stop overthinking all my videos. I tend to record a lot, but barely share anything. Suddenly weeks go by and I look back on my footage and think "this is too boring" or "no one wants to watch that" and then the footage fades away on my hard drives. But I personally love watching videos of people just doing normal things in a part of the world I'm curious about. It's comforting. So I figured, why not? I wanted to be real with you all, to show you some day-to-day stuff, and of course share some of the Highlands beauty in late autumn. I'm always striving to find a good work-life balance, and one thing that really helps me is going on frequent walks in the forest or hills. This is sacred time for me, to connect with nature and listen to my thoughts. Being injured scares the heck out of me, because it threatens something so deeply important to my mental health too. Massive CAVES & epic coastal light // Scotlands Moray Coast Trail Ep. 05 Sarah in Scotland 2022-09-16 | The day started at Hopeman Beach, and this time I was doing something a little different. Rather than worry about end-time (buses, pick up, etc.) I decided to give myself total freedom to explore anything and everything that caught my interest. Wolfy had promised to pick me up any time from Burghead (what a hero!), so there was no pressure. This section is less than 3 miles…but I ended up walking approx. 5 miles according to my Fitbit, because I explored the heck out of the rock pools, cliffs, and beaches! Hot and tired...but WOW // Scotlands Moray Coast Trail Ep. 03 Sarah in Scotland 2022-08-28 | This week I'll take you with me from Kingston to Lossiemouth, a section of the Moray Coast trail that I can honestly say I was dreading. So imagine my horror when it turned out to be one of the hottest days of the summer! Heat waves are no joke, especially since humidity in Scotland is always so high. Even on the coast where the breeze usually cools me off, I had no relief. My body was not ready. I was a bit of a drama queen in this episode. Finding my stride and something cool // Scotlands Moray Coast Trail - Ep. 02 Sarah in Scotland 2022-08-20 | Sketching Scotland Episode 02 takes you from Portgordon to Kingston, a very relaxing section of the Moray Coast Trail in the northeast of Scotland. It's my busiest time of year, so I struggled to stay on the trail, but it was also great motivation to take breaks and enjoy the beautiful Scottish summer weather. It isn't always ultra exciting or epic, but it's still an important part of the journey. As a find my stride and get more comfortable hiking, I realize that sometimes the quieter moments on the trail lead me to the most profound thoughts. May in Scotland VLOG - Highland Games, Cairngorms, lambs, gardens Sarah in Scotland 2022-05-29 | May was truly a magical month in Scotland. I believe it is the GREENEST month of the year. The fields, forests, and gardens turn to every shade of lime, emerald, and forest green imaginable. The flowers fully bloom, the air smells like candy, and there are endless sun-showers and fast moving clouds (which of course brings rainbows). Oh and don't forget the lambs who are growing fast and extremely playful! The Games, of course, are as much about music and dancing as they are about sports. Dancing, piping, fiddling, and playing the clarsach (Gaelic harp). The games are said to have become a way of choosing the most ablest men for the clan chieftain’s household but it wasn’t just brute strength that was determined. April in Scotland 🔆 (vlog) Sarah in Scotland 2022-04-24 | Warmer days are finally here! I'll show you what Scotland is like during most of April. It's a time of changing landscape, growth, new life, activity, warm sun, cold wind, and so much more. One of my favorite things this time of year is seeing the fields full of newborn lambs! They grow fast, and are incredibly cute as they play and cuddle. The green is returning, along with my energy. I also give a little channel update. From now on I'll use this channel to share general life updates, like visual diaries of Scotland. I love looking back through the videos to see how much Scotland changes month-to-month.
