To watch this ordinary boy become so deeply disturbed by his existence and the circumstances that surround it that he eventually becomes omnicidal was such an intense ride.In this video, I was prompted to portray the journey of him growing into himself, into the stranger and then Adam, something he deliberately fights. I really like the whole 'by trying to avoid your destiny you ensure that it becomes fate' narrative the show has going on, and I tried to show how much of a big deal that is to Jonas. He tries and tries to change things yet he always ends up just ensuring it all happens same as always. That's both frustrating and fascinating to watch, and saddening, when you think that for very long he held on to hope for normalcy then change until the loop made him a full cynic.There's a lot of talk about roles and fate here, and a lot of his love interest slash nemesis slash soulmate Martha, cause she's in one way or another his biggest motivator through the whole saga. You know I still love you AnneSoshi 2021-03-14 | « I just can't imagine how you could be so okay now that I'm gone » Turn on the English subtitles! 📢I'm actually team Hyeyeong (thank god, don't think I could deal with losing another time), but Sunoh and Jojo's angst is very relevant to my muse who absolutely thrives on making angsty videos, so here, have this edit.This looked waaay better on Sony Vegas, but I'm not unhappy with the result, this song honestly fits them like a glove (the 'blonde girl' part? lmaoo which other kdrama ship can pull that off?).I think Sunoh and Jojo were starcrossed lovers, they loved each other deeply and burned brightly together at a point in their lives they can never return to again. They weren't meant for each other. Jojo didn't know what to deal with her trauma and pain so she unavoidably really hurt Sunoh, and for all his faults, he deserved better. I believe she's a good person, but good people can be toxic to others sometimes. That was the case for Jojo with Sunoh, just like it was for Sunoh with Hyeyeong.All in all, I am happy with the way things turned out. Jojo needed a love that's peaceful, a partner who'd help her lick her wounds, and Sunoh couldn't be that (he's too intense, has too much attention surrounding him and too much going on himself). Similarly, Sunoh is literally affection starved, he could never get what he needed emotionally from JoJo but Yukjo is so openly, physically and verbally loving... she can meet him halfway, and they are actually my favorite pairing from season 2...maybe I'll make a video of them sometime.Anyhow, this is getting long already so...Sunjo shippers, I'm sorry it didn't work out. Han Jipyeong & Seo Dalmi | Its Killing Me To Love You AnneSoshi 2020-12-09 | « I gave you my heart just to watch you waste it » So, true love died in 2020.I have had cases of second lead syndrome before, but I have no recollection of it being because the other guy and his relationship with the girl was clearly so much better than the one we were supposed to be rooting for...The story between these two clearly got out of hand and became much more than the writers could handle. In the end, Dalmi had to become completely thoughtless in order to choose Dosan (she couldn't even point out a reason for liking him? she who wrote a hundred love letters to Jipyeong?) because if they had her ponder for more than 20 seconds over this decision, the outcome would've been way different. Also, Jipyeong had to be the one to validate Dosan's relationship with Dalmi, which was so infuriating to me for so many reasons that I deliberately chose not to include many scenes from the last episode in this video. Even if I abide by the dreadful Dodal endgame scenario, I still choose to think Jipyeong left and never looked back, cause he deserves so much better than living around the breathing reminders of everything he was robbed off.I could write essays about what a complete clusterfuck this k-drama became after episode 9 but I'd rather not get any angrier, so I'll just settle with two affirmations: Jidal the best couple we never had and Jipyeong, you have become my biggest heartbreak yet.This video is all over the place just like my feelings are right now, and even though I am not particularly proud of it, it's my send off to this ship that I became so attached to. I am grateful to everyone who's been supporting my jidal edits lately, it really means the world. Sadly, I don't think I will be editing them again, at least not for a while. I mean, they truly sacrificed everything in order to fuel this weird love narrative, and while the direction they're heading is super obvious, at the same time it's so confusing? I really don't understand why they keep giving Dalmi and Jipyeong so much screentime and romantic coded moments when they're clearly not meant to be. This is actually so detrimental to their main leads because it's making Dosan and Dalmi less and less likeable by the minute. I don't even understand why they like each other at this point, even after 3 years?? They're just clowning me I guess.As you all might have noticed at this point, I am pretty invested in these two. Actually, I don't think invested is the word, maybe 'bitter' suits best what I am feeling. What a waste of great potential and killer visuals, I'm sure they'd kiss so pretty ㅠㅠBut nothing gets me going more than bitterness, editing wise, so please go along with it as I make 2932 videos of these two in a row. I legit started this drama because I thought "OMG a cute romcom with two of my favorite actors, count me in!" and that's when it started to go downhill.It just really baffles me how I managed to get a terminal case of second lead syndrome when literally THE Nam Joohyuk and THE Bae Suzy are the main couple?? I did NOT expect to be on episode ten crying over a ship that will never be because k-dramas are formulaic enough that the other guy never gets the girl. But I just think that the story between these two is so much more captivating? IDK, Han Jipyeong is a much more interesting character in general (no hate on Dosan tho, that adorable giant of a man has my whole heart) and Dalmi is like the best girl ever so like, what? Was I not supposed to ship them? With this much angst and pining and beautifully shot scenes? AnneSoshi 2020-07-09 | « TRIGGER WARNING: Domestic violence, abuse » I've always seen video editing a way for us to convey messages, most of the time I'm pretty consistently trying to shine a positive light on stuff (fandoms, couples, the characters or stuff like editing, the aesthetic yada yada), but this one's more about getting something out of my chest, and definitely not shine a positive light on anything that's going on in here.This is (I hope you'll realize while watching) a video about abusive relationships. Granted, not everything here is even a relationship, but for the sake of getting my point across I compiled some moments from pairings that are/were put together romantically which go all the way from dysfunctional to textbook domestic abuse. I hoped to cover some key elements that are often overlooked (or even romanticised) on fictional pairings such as: power imbalance, emotional manipulation (guilt-tripping/gaslighting), unhealthy co-dependence and verbal/physical/sexual violence.I realize that there are many popular pairings in here, and while I don't apologize for my choices I do apologize if anyone takes offense. It is not my place nor my intention to point a finger at people for enjoying the stuff they do (except if it involves physical/sexual violence, then I will absolutely frown at you), but then again this is a projection of my own perspective, and having experienced up close what domestic abuse looks like I guess it became kind of a personal thing to me.And okay, this is also a dig against the popular trope of 'good girls can save problematic guys' that is so old but still reigns supreme as the most popular recipe for a successful heterosexual pairing. Considering that so many shows, movies and books target young girls it's really harmful to romanticise certain types of behaviours as it feeds into really twisted and unhealthy ideals of what love should be like.That brings me to the reason why I chose this song! Not only because its openly about abuse and is often romanticised regardless, but because I really like what the lyrics did with 'the warning signs can feel like they're butterflies', it's true. Overall it covers a lot of what it's like to bee stuck in an abusive cycle, going deeper and deeper until the other person get's you to rock bottom.Anyway! Daenerys Targaryen | Fear is how I fall AnneSoshi 2019-07-11 | « They will all come to see you for what you are »I recognize I'm a bit late to the 'Dany tribute party', but in my defense, I had this started since before the season finale. It's the same excuse as always, don't think I need to spell it out at this point.So, the season finale of Game Of Thrones...actually, the whole season of game of thrones, how to even begin? I have so much to say about this season, most of it I've ranted about for hours on end on every groupchat I'm a part of and every social media account owned by me. I was extremely disappointed with the rushed and careless way they handled basically everything from plot points to character development, Jon, for example, was downright unrecognizable. But oh well, this video is about Daenerys, so let's talk about Daenerys.For quite some time before the season aired I was already predicting Dany would go down as the big antagonist of the series (as I've made clear in the other video I made of her 'Kingdom Fall'), and at that time I was excited for everyone to see what I was seeing, cause honestly the concept was so incredible to me? I mean, there's this character that's basically a pop culture idol, a hero of the ages, a feminist symbol, the breaker of chains! To imagine that a character like that would fall from grace to become a villain? That would leave such a lasting effect on the fictional world. I was REALLY excited to see it happen and how it would happen, but then came the seismic event.Someone wise once said 'Be careful what you wish for', and so it was. It was EXTREMELY disappointing to me to watch something I've been excited about forever be done so improperly. I feel like the whole season was sacrificed in order to antagonize Daenerys and in the end it wasn't even enough? It was still tacky and badly handled and I'm so sorry that this is the final impression this series is going to have on people. And I am sorry it was bad enough that hardly anyone is going to understand the message behind Daenerys' character.She was always meant to go this way. While I understand the people who said 'it came out of nowhere', cause the whiplash affected us all, I disagree. They built this cult of personality to a person who'd always used power arbitrarily. But it's not always easy to understand this problem when said power is aimed at slave masters and overall what is the audience's consensus of 'Bad guys', but essentially the only thing that changed about Daenerys' behavior was perspective. She'd always wanted to return cities to the dust in order to build her new better world, because she has motherfucking dragons, how much easier could it be?Not to say her goals are evil, absolutely not. Abolishing slavery? Freeing the world? Those are some solid great plans...but like in that last conversation with Jon (that I'll be surprised if anyone really paid attention in cause it was so cringey) she basically said her vision of a good, ideal world, is the only one that matters, everyone else with different views? Well, they don't get to choose, and that basically sums up what Daenerys has been about all along. She's despotic, she wants to break the wheel but by that she means she wants to be the one turning it, because she alone understands whats right and what's not, and if anyone disagrees, well, dracarys.I find that about her quite fascinating, I am passionate about sociology and world history, and we've those types of rulers quite a few times thorough our tragetory, and asoiaf is based of real history (the war of the roses, anyone?), and I just love when fiction is used not only to entertain but to bring about reflections on real life issues.With all of that said, I love Daenerys' character, but no I don't pretend or endorse the traditonal hero colors she's often painted with. She's grey, and young, and impulsive and with some real pyromaniac tendencies. Amazingly, her biggest nemesis thorough her story was been her own self and her worst impulses, she tried, countless times, to fight against it and plant her trees, she was almost there with the help of all the people who didn't let her succumb to the throes of her wrath, but in the end she lost all of them, and she's a dragon: dragons plant no trees.This video is kind of messy and it gets a bit underwhelming towards the end I know, but I just got really tired of editing it for almost 2 months lmao. Even still, I really liked the final result, and I'm glad I managed to finish a tribute to one of my favorite characters with the most fascinating character developments ever. What do you want that you do not have? »After 5 months I come back with 2 videos in 3 days, best not get used to it XDThis was yet another project I friged before my hiatus, and back then it was replaced by my 'The Northern Fool' one which is why the coloring is the same and also they share some bits in common. It's a similar approach, I have some theories™ on how things may go down in the last season of Game of Thrones and I think my videos speak for themselves.As unpopular as this theory is with the general audience I DO firmly believe there's a chance for Jon and Sansa to end up together. I'm actually quite invested in them by now and one of the main reasons is because they're part of something much bigger than just themselves. More than just cause I think they have chemistry together, they fit on my story-wide endgame picture, politics and character fullfilment included, and for all it means, I'd love for at least a fraction of it to become true.I started several videos of these two and got quite far with all of them, but then I always decided they weren't good enough and just left the project on the unfinished corner so I could move on to something else. I managed to finish this after a while and I still think its not that good (nothing is ever good enough to do them justice in my head, maybe that's it haha) but I decided to share anyways.As always, be kind about it, if you will. I understand the backlash and the frowns when it comes to these two but honestly considering the show we're talking about and the recent events...is it really worth it? On top of being extremely busy 24/7 during the semester, my old laptop died on me several months ago and my broke uni student's ass had to spend some time saving enough money to afford a new one. It would have taken me MORE time (it's really hard to save money when you live by yourself) if it weren't for my family deciding to be amazing and gifting me the missing amount as my birthday present (which is tomorrowww yay!) but hey, I'm back at last.This project was just sitting around like 80% finished before I no longer had means to edit, and it actually took me just about 2 hours to tweak it and press render. That's probably why it's not that consistent, quality wise, but I actually genuinelly enjoyed editing it and I'm satisfied with how it turned out. I've even used some overlays again! I'm so minimalist sometimes I fear my editing style will end up being just one hardcut scene for the entirety of the project.There's several videos of Cesare and Lucrezia to this song, and not without reason: there's not many others that nail what they were about quite like this one. I mean, what were they if not wicked? By the way, if you're creeped by the fact they're brother and sister, trust me, it's mutual--yet the feelings these two coax out of people something you have to watch to understand, and I'd definitely recommend anyone who hasn't yet to watch the Borgias.I was initially going to use the Annaca version of this song because it's powerful and emotional and that's certainly a side of this relationship that weights for me, but I ended up with this one because the arrangement and melody here gave me a certain vibe...it's sweet and sad and full of longing, and I think that's my favorite approach to Cesare and Lucrezia. There's so many feelings between them...desire, devotion, denial, and as weird as it sounds almost a 'pure' quality to how they feel about each other. Blame it on all the religious refferences I guess haha. Through the seasons we've seen Lucrezia's loss of innocence and Cesare slowly sinking in a path of madness, but the only thing that is consistent and 'good' about them is their feelings about each other, which are often times their redeeming qualities. All the passion and confusion boils down to a game of push and pull that overwhelms them both. It's fascinating to watch, truly, plus there's the fact François and Holliday had amazing chemistry together so yehawww.I'm getting carried away so I'll just put a period here and say I hope you guys enjoy this video.
