The first verse is for my workout heads who want motivational words while exercising. The second verse is for the anime fans who came for a Rock Lee rap. The second verse is hilarious to me. When I heard the break at the end of the verse I immediately thought of "Drunk Lee" and his drunken master style he used when fighting Kimimaro after he accidentally drank alcohol. So the vocal style and flow is supposed to emulate a drunken voice. So drunk that the last 4 lines where I say "Impeda" then continuing to rap and end it with "Ment like I was drunk, trying to remember the word I was looking for, then at the last minute, ignoring the rhyme to place the word to complete "impediment". I'm still working towards getting a better mix and master, so I thank you guys for showing grace. In this one I was more satisfied with how it sounded than my previous 2 songs. I'm always trying different vocal levels when pertaining to the beat. And the “chant stacks”(where I'm screaming/yelling) are always a thorn in my side. So on some songs those are too low, and other times they're way too loud. I'm still working for a balance. These past couple of songs you can hear the strain in my voice, I do apologize because im still overworking myself with client songs. So when I get to record these songs, my voice is pretty much tanked. It works in a small way but I notice it when I listen to the songs. Ive learned that I can't sit back and wait until my voice is better, I can't wait for the perfect time because you have to create the perfect time. I have had time to recover, and get more sleep. I finally got off the energy drinks, I think they were starting to affect my health to where I felt like I was going to have a heart attack whenever I was laying down. Really consider what you're doing to your body when you put things into it. My whole goal with my music videos is to give you anime that you can take from and apply to real life. Rock Lee is the embodiment of underdog working harder than others to achieve. Going through life where people tell you constantly that you can't do something because they're stuck where they are. You have two options. 1. Believe them and never prove to yourself that you can do what you set your mind to. Or 2. The route we preach on this channel.. PROVE THEM WRONG. Sure other people have a head start on you, but what ive learned playing football and running track when I was in highscool. So I hired a producer, sent them the reference and went on about my day. 3 days later they send me back something, I didn't like it, so I asked for some changes, they send something back a couple days later and by that time im just thinking, I don't think they can do what I want them to do with this song. So I pay them and that's over.I know I want to get someone else to remake the beat but I wanted to have the singers vocals before I sent it off that way they could remake the beat around vocals instead of just throwing things at a wall to see if it sticks. So I ask friends who I know sing, Dance/Pop/ElectroPop style. No one responds, okay cool no problem. I get on Fiverr and go through the countless singers find 2 singers. I messaged them both at the same time thinking who ever responds first gets the job. The first one who responds is like sure I can help you out with this, we discuss how things work and the first red flag was They said they would only send me the finished wav. not the vocal stems separated. That's highly unorthodox when working with singers/producers. Stems is the standard, so the person can mix your vocals they way they need to make their song sound cohesive. So I say nah im cool. Later that day, the second singer responds and everything sounds good, they will send stems, their voice is great and they say they can get the song done in 3-5 days. Which is perfect because I work on 2 week deadlines for songs. I hire them, day 3 hits and they send me a demo where the vocal is great, the lyrics are great, but there's one problem. The beat they sung too wasn't the beat I sent them. So now in my head im thinking, this is AI generated content. In their profile it says that it's them singing which is SUS now. So im messaging them asking why is the beat changed, they say they made slight alterations to make it better, im like no worries but now I need the stems for the vocals as well as the beat. A day later they send an acapella of a vocal. But it's not the same lyrics, singer, or even quality audio. So im irritated, we spend the next day going back and forth about it being AI, they threaten to Sue me for defamation, and im responding with "Lets! If we go to court you would have to prove that you did in fact write and record everything yourself. Their excuse for the different vocal was "it's a band mate singing" I didn't hire your bandmate to sing, I just want the stems for the vocals and the beat. Im trying to cancel the project but Fiverr is weird in the way that BOTH parties has to agree to the cancellation, so im cancelling, they refuse the cancel, we go back and forth, like 20 time (minimim) with this happening. Until I get fed up and do a completely background on their profile. EVERYTHING WAS FAKE, the pictures they posted were of a professional violinist. I finally get fed up and send an email to Fiverr, within an hour they read everything, heard everything, and decided that it was in fact AI generated, the profile was fake, and the audio wasn't what was agreed on. So they refund me. Now im in crunch time mode because I wasted 5 days dealing with this person. I decided to just message people I worked with on Fiverr before to see if they will come through. Enter ANNE "FREAKING" NOVA!!!!! We did the "My Universe" song together but it was underwhelming because of my lack of mixing experience, so im saying we need a retribution track, but im on a hard deadline . She says "say no more" and a couple of days later. She sends me back the vocals and the lyrics for THIS SONG. Mind you, its to the original lacking beat. So now im messaging EVERYONE I worked with who I know is a great producer, out of all of them 3 ACTUALLY RESPONDED WILLING TO HELP!
