D O L O M I A - Long Range FPV & DJI Air 2S in the Dolomites

Cst_FPV 2022-02-01 | DOLOMIA is one of my biggest projects and I am really proud of how this video turned out.
I recorded all these clips back in September during my trip in the Dolomites and it took me almost 6 months of trials, errors, versions discarded, editing and color grade to produce this video.
I hope it was worth the waiting!

UN FANTASTICO MINI DRONE FPV DA LONG RANGE! || Recensione GEPRC Crocodile Baby 5

Cst_FPV 2021-06-25 | La scorsa settimana ho avuto il piacere di provare il nuovissimo 5" Ultralight di casa #geprc e devo dire che sono rimasto davvero sorpreso di come questo piccolo drone BNF performa!
Per testarlo ho deciso di portarlo in una location EPICA, a più di 2000m di quota, e da lì siamo saliti per altri 1100m e ben 2.2km sulle creste! 🏔

Be a soul flier

Cst_FPV 2019-03-28 | I was really inspired by Chad's last video, it remembered me what FPV really is for us: taking all problems apart, goggles on and enjoy the view...this weekend I went flying with some friends after a few months, and was great to put aside all the "social pressure" and to fly not for views , but just for myself...Hope you enjoy this flight as much as I did. Lift #3 - Final

Cst_FPV 2019-02-27 | For the last step, I color graded the clip starting from a LUT I made some time ago, adding some shadows and reducing a bit lights and exposure.

Then, I added the music: for this kind of videos, I usually look for some epic orchestral music, I really love that nordic feels!
This song is taken from the soundtrack of "Vikings", it's called "Vikings Return Home".
I usually try to synch music with images to give a "more organic" feeling!

At last, I added black bars and logos to the video to get the cinematic feeling! Bars are done by cropping 7/8% of the top and bottom of the clip!

Then I export the video in 4K @30fps, 40-60mpbs bitrate, using the maximum rendering quality. You can check SnakeFPV video for all detailed settings, I just copied them :P

Lift #2 - Stabilization + Speed Ramping

Cst_FPV 2019-02-27 | Now, let's edit the raw footage you just saw!
First, I extract from the whole flight the clip I want to edit: I really love the climb along the ridge, and the beautiful view of the mountains at the end!

After cutting the sub-clip, let's drag it into our new sequence. Then, for this specific kind of video, I really love to add stabilization to reduce the oscillations generated by the wind! For this video I used the warp stabilizer, stock settings with 5% amount, didn't need more. --Be careful when you use it not to add too much stab to the clip, it may overcorrect your footage and create some distortion!--

Then, it's time for some speedramping: I really love to switch between slowing and accelerating the clip, it gives such a nice effect! In this video, I slowed the whole clip to 50% of original speed, so the slow sections are @30 fps, and then I accelerated the others at 200% speed (= original speed @60fps) , so the faster sections are actually at the same speed they were recorded at... I was going pretty fast! :D

Then I exported the video with source settings (2.7k @60fps, 80-100mbps bitrate) and imported it into a new project to add color grading and music!

Cst_FPV 2019-02-27 | I shot this video using a Gopro Hero 2018 modded to Hero5 Black, 2.7k @60fps, Wide, ISO @400 , Sharpness @Medium, Color Profile FLAT, White Balance NATIVE + TBS ND8. Other settings are stock.
I chose these settings because they give you the most neutral image possible, and this makes color grading much easier!

Cst_FPV 2018-12-31 | Hello guys, it has been a long time since my last video...As many of you know, my quad sinked in the sea more than 2 months ago, with my Gopro Session and many videos in the SD card...In this time, I worked together with the guys at LMultirotors to develop my new long range frame, the Mountain Surfer, and now, after many troubles, I can finally show you some footage from it and my new Hero6 Black!
