We Follow || Part 24 [The 100 AU] [CW] MeepLeWafl 2022-06-08 | CW: Quick/sudden motion, flashing, and minor blood/body horror(?)this is such a self-indulgent AU haha so basically one day i came up with the idea of a shadowhunters x The 100 crossover AU and it hasn't left my mind since!! this AU is very bare-bones and will probably change a ton but the basic concept is that it'd be set in the world/magic system of shadowhunters but the characters would be from The 100. instead of radiation, demons/demonic energy would've destroyed a large part of civilization. the people on the Ark would be what's left of the shadowhunter population while the grounders would be a mixture of downworlders and humans. black blood refers to demon blood rather than becca's serum (but she still had a role to play in how black blood got in the population) except demon blood doesn't make you evil like in the books b/c i say so hgjfhgjghjgh. the plot would be mostly similar to the 100 but maybe with some changes? but anyways the concept in this MAP part is that octavia joins the grounders and learns to do magic! she makes a deal with lilith (the character w/ the purple paw with snakes along it) to obtain magic, but at a price. octavia's warlock mark is her dragon-like appearance, which she gained after the deal (i actually didn't make the connection between the concept of a dragon and the fact that lilith has snakes as one of her animal symbols until i did some research for this MAP part, i just liked the idea of dragon octavia lol. i'd imagine octavia later reclaims the dragon imagery as her own maybe during or after the red queen arc). i also threw cortana in there because i think her having a magic sword is just so cool hahafor those of you who have no clue what either of these fandoms are: dw this isn't gonna be some long-running AU that i invest greatly in, it's just a fun lil thing to think about haha- || Info || - MAP - youtube.com/watch?v=5WSAyrBb4hY Audio (not mine) - We Follow (Stereotypes Remix) by From Indian LakesTime Taken - 20 daysThe sword design is heavily inspired by Cortana from the Shadowhunters books- || Programs || -Paint Tool Sai - storyboarding Photoshop CC - art + editingFilmora9 - editing + formatting the video (intro, outro, etc.)- || Other places to find me || - DeviantArt - deviantart.com/meepwafflesInstagram - instagram.com/meeplewafl/Toyhou.se - https://toyhou.se/MeepLeWaflCarrd - meeplewafl.carrd.co/Artfight - artfight.net/~MeepLeWaflsmaller details: the butterflies are a reference to that one shot in the 100 with octavia & the blue butterflies b/c i think it's neat! and the fire-like magic is meant to reference both octavia's destructive arc & her burning down that one greenhouse thing i've been eyeing this map for a long while so i'm super happy i got to be a part of it!! hope y'all enjoy!!

Get Used To It || Parts 4 & 6 [Warriors, The 100] MeepLeWafl 2022-04-23 | two (2) whole MAP parts for y'all today!! - || Info || - Script - this MAP deals with underrated/underexplored characters so I chose sparkpelt and niylah! here's my thought process on both below:Sparkpelt: I'm glad the whole 'firestar legacy' thing is being explored now in the newest books but I wish we got to see more of sparkpelt's experiences with it! especially since she looks just like firestar and both of her parents are in positions of power (and have thus consequently fought in part due to a power imbalance). like!! there are so many things i think that could've been explored. did alderheart's semi-forced move to medicine cat make her feel like there was more/less pressure on her? what would the family dynamic have been like considering all of squilf and bramble's fighting? how did she and alderheart cope after bramblestar got possessed? (especially considering she literally gets attacked by dogs). so i decided to do a little exploration of sparkpelt being a perfectionist since imo that would've been a bit more interesting than her just being 'naturally gifted'! Niylah: [SPOILERS FOR THE 100 SEASONS 3-7]i think niylah is super interesting and underexplored as well!! i get why she didn't have as much screen time compared to more main characters but i wish we got just a little bit more exploration into her! so i decided to explore niylah's relationships with some other characters + the concept of her waking up after cryosleep and seeing a new planet (sanctum) for the first time. i think her little interactions with echo (grey striped cat) and raven, miller, and jordan (jordan isn't pictured, raven = cat in the foreground, miller = cat in the background) were cool so i included them! in the scene with the flowers, i wanted to play around with the (non-canon) concept of niylah wanting to reach out to clarke (tan cat in background) and playfully give her a flower to cheer her up a little vs. clarke's self isolation and grief after her mother's death. niylah's chill nature is supposed to sorta contrast clarke's more serious side. i never saw their relationship as one that was romantic but i think their friendship could've been explored more! Gooey || Part 2 [Warriors OCs] MeepLeWafl 2021-12-12 | i haven't had consistent OCs on this channel since 2019 but who needs that anyways!! introducing Tidestopper (grey, he/him) and Dustfire (brown, she/her)! this MAP part is actually based on a lush caves warrior cats AU of their story--they're originally WOF OCs from like 2015 that I revamped about a year ago. the concept of minecraft lush caves x warrior cats was made by the host of the MAP (:sparky:)! go check her and the MAP out--both are super cool!i'd imagine in this AU borders between clans are a ton more relaxed because the size and complexity of the caves makes it unnecessarily difficult to enforce boundary rules (especially when fights can quickly turn fatal due to high drops and lava). some cats have sorta just separated into their own friend/family groups while others try to adhere to clan-based clowders. Dusty comes from a super strict Thunderclan clowder while Tide is from a Riverclan clowder. Tide picked up a parasite from the deep caves (I'm thinking from glow squids or other deep water creatures?) and while it's fatal to some, it doesn't spread easily. His clowder didn't know this, however, and Tide's mother (leader of Riverclan) ended up quarantining him for his "safety" and it really just means he's been trapped in an isolated part of the caves for several years (oops). (even octavia of all people gets to transcend? i love her and she 𝘥𝘪𝘥 get a redemption arc, but still?) also i hate what happened to madi but that's another story gdhgghfgfj in the end i would've preferred some sort of compromise with the Judge where humanity is left alone to rebuild and heal itself and instead of transcending to find peace, people find peace with each other and the protagonists get to rebuild and be a part of a healthy society that isn't just between themselvesbut of course no one's obligated to agree with me!! all other interpretations are valid ^^ and i still think there were a ton of good scenes that I wanna draw too!!

Photograph || Part 12 [TLH] MeepLeWafl 2021-07-22 | this was a pretty short part and as a result pretty relaxing to do! also i've taken a break from super complex tweening and i still really like how this turned out! [SPOILERS FOR CHAIN OF IRON]In the background columns, i used pink camellia (longing for you) and yellow carnations (disappointment/rejection). On the train, I decorated the window Matthew and Cordelia are in with daisies (new beginnings + it's Cordelia's nickname). And finally roses on James! In this flower AU world I'm thinking that the bracelet Grace gave him sprouted roses that grew and tightened around his arm the stronger the spell worked (I added some faint rose thorn scars on his wrist but I'm not sure if they're noticeable), but in this scene since the bracelet is off I'm thinking the roses are more metaphorical/imaginary & represent James being held back/suffering because of Grace's "love" I actually really like both James and Grace's characters! While I definitely don't agree with a majority of Grace's actions I really like the moral greyness and complexity of her as a character.
