[Soundodger] We love Katamari - Blue Orb by Grogle w/ light background Blü 2018-01-22 | I've never posted me playing another person's levle before, but I've always wanted to show this one specificaly since it's the one that made me want to create levels for this game in the first place!Now here's an interesting twist: this level is actualy meant to have a black background, however when I first started playin the game, I was still unable to buy anything online, meaning that I ended up playing on an outdated illegal copy of the game that did not allow for user levels to have a black background, and this actualy ended up makign the level so much more interesting and fitting with the song.Here are some things that I really enjoy about this level:- Those big blue wave coming out of nowhere, they really nail the sound they're tied to, especialy on a clean white arena.- The level gets easier the better you do as the score circle is dark allowing you to see the white bullets when they travel over it (this trick was eventualy found and used properly by ian in his levle for kubbi's cascade over a year later).- If you pay atention to the ennemy at the bottom at 0:28, you wil lnotice that some of the waves it shoots go outside of the arena.I've always felt like this effect looked like water ripples and I to this day still adore this effect- Whenever you get hit, the bullets around you turn red, and in some cases, this allows you to see how big the pattern that you got hit by was, this actualy makes getting hit interesting as it allows you to realize how big some of the patterns you are dodging are, this is something that only few levels do due to it requiring white bullet on a white background to really work.- The ending with the single ennemy staying just to move along with the noises in the songI've been meaning to make my own version of a levle for this song based on what I liked about this levle when played on a light background, maybe someday I'll actualy do it...
