An Amazing and Affordable KJV Bible A Nickels Worth Bible Reviews 2025-08-11 | The Hampton Text Bible from Trinitarian Bible Society is pretty interesting. It is very affordable, and very small. The layout is STELLAR. I hope they decide to bring this to a more personal size Bible with a larger font. This one has a 6.3pt font. That’s small, but it is dark, well spaced, and quite readable. The notes at the bottom are actually the definition for archaic words. This Bible is designed for evangelism. In case you wondered, TBS is a London based KJVo publisher. While I don’t hold that position, I appreciate the effort to keep the KJV in circulation and to create tools to help those who struggle to understand it. I Finished The MEV - There Are Some Mistakes A Nickels Worth Bible Reviews 2025-07-09 | Note: I missed one mistake:Ps. 119:121 - The second half of verse is missing, and in its place is the second half of verse 122. This should be corrected to “leave me not to my oppressors.”The MEV was a fun read through. There are a few mistakes in the translation, but overall it is definitely a worthwhile translation. I feel it meets a need, we need more translations based on the Textus Receptus, and I hope this effort eventually leads to a more middle of the road translation rather than word for word.Overall I enjoyed the MEV, but it doesn't really do anything the NKJV doesn't already do, and in most places better. I am glad it exists, and I hope it continues to be in print, but it will never overtake the NKJV as my translation of choice.
