DIY- Trash to Fine Art? TheCreativeCove 2024-10-18 | Hello everyone, Michele here welcome to the Creative Cove!Thank you so much for joining me today. I have a fun DIY project for you, i found this old wood sign in the trash and wanted to turn it into a lovely moody painting. This video is a tutorial. I show how I start my paintings and the process I used to complete them. I have some tips and tricks for you in this video. However, that being said how you Paint is how YOU Paint I wouldn’t expect you to Paint the way I do. I hope this video gives you ideas on how to start painting and how to develop your own style and skills with these little tips and tricks. I’m hoping that this video will also take the fear out of painting with acrylic paint since acrylic paint is so extremely forgiving. It’s a wonderful medium to work with you. Make a mistake. You can easily go straight over top of it as soon as it dries, it blends well it dries quickly. You can also add a medium that will extend the drying time of your acrylic paints. Just a video on my messy desk and how I try to stay ahead of my scraps. As you can see not that successful yet but I am slowly teaching myself to work on the scraps I have on my desk after I build some other projects. It’s a work in progress 😆I am trying to teach myself to build in cluster stages. I find I can build cluster but sometimes they don’t suit what I am working on. This way I can have them started and then move to the finishing stage when I’m decorating a book or when I’m in the mood. I hope this all makes sense. What works for you and your scraps? I wanted to accumulate details and facts about the plants that grow around me and ones I look forward to seeing every spring.
