Why Uncle Ben Matters (MCU and Spectacular Spider-Man) Critical Rants 2020-09-08 | #Spider-Man #UncleBen #MCUEverybody shares the same opinion about MCU Spider-Man. Despite this, I offer my thoughts on the topic in this video and emphasize the importance of Uncle Ben to Spider-Man’s character. In doing so, I invoke the greatest Spidey cartoon of all time, and one of the plain best Spidey anythings of all time: Spectacular Spider-Man. I hope you enjoy.Also I know it seems like I come down pretty hard on MCU Spidey in this video, but I actually really like the portrayal of Peter Parker in Civil War and Homecoming. It honestly feels like so much of what I loved about Peter’s character in Homecoming was walked back or ignored, but maybe you feel differently!
