Looking to buy a condo in Seattle? This video is for you! Looking at the Seattle skyline can feel overwhelming, which building is best for me? Today's video breaks down some of the unique differences in each building and location.
Nexus: Nexus is RIGHT next to the I5 freeway on-ramps. If you travel north and south often, you will find this location extremely convenient via car! By foot, the surrounding block doesn't have a whole lot going on just yet, but there are plenty of development plans in the works. Give it another few years and this will be a vibrant street corner. Nexus features over 300 homes, many studio, 1 bed and 2 bedroom units. Finishes are very sleek and modern with panel-ready appliances and either dark or white oak flooring options. Views will either feature lake union, city, or territorial w/ mountains. The amenity spaces are plentiful.
Olive8: RIGHT in the thick of downtown you can find beautiful city views with with the puget sound peeking through. Olive8 shares the building with the Hyatt. For those worried about privacy, you will be impressed by your own private entrance and elevators- you'll hardly realize a hotel occupies the bottom floors. Olive8 consists of the top 22 floors of this impressive LEED-certified building on 737 Olive Way. Sharing a hotel gives you some special amenities such as 24 hour room service, in house cleaning services, and valet parking. Amenities are shared with the hotel featuring an impressive lap pool, large gym, and a spa with a large menu of treatments. Homes have floor to ceiling windows, covered decks, and rich interior finishes (granite, cherry hardwoods, etc.). This is a great building!
Seaboard Building: Looking for some New York charm in Seattle? You will love the Seaboard building! With only 10 homes available, living in this flat iron look-alike is a rare experience.
Escala: Las Vegas meets Seattle in the Escala building! And so does Hollywood! The Escala building is famous for being the "residence" of Mr.Gray in Fifty Shades Of Grey. Homes are spacious here with 900 square foot 1 bedrooms (that is huge for a 1 bed!) and 1,600 square foot 2 beds.
First Light: The newest condo building to join the Seattle skyline. This building is going to be NEXT LEVEL, with the most premium finishes and insane amenities including Seattle's first-ever rooftop infinity pool! To live here is to buy bragging rights to the coolest building in town.
Newmark Tower: an older but good one! Built in the 90's but well kept, you will love the versatility of being able to short term rent your home out. Right at the base of pike place market with a pool, sauna, gym, and outdoor patio space.
1521 2nd Ave: The most luxurious building in Seattle. Exclusively 2-bedroom homes only, you will love the mature and upscale feel of this building. It feels like a four seasons hotel in the best way possible.
The Emerald: I saved the best for last with the Emerald! You can think of it like 1521's little sister. It's prettier because it's younger, but she is a bit smaller! The west facing Olympic Room will truly make your jaw drop to the floor. It's so beautiful in fact, one lucky resident hosted their wedding in there! I love the walnut finishes through out, white oak flooring, and panel ready appliances. 10/10 location being just a block from pike place.
Magnolia is a long-time favorite among many Seattle locals, but I feel it is left out of the list for many newcomers considering where to live. Today I am taking you all around Magnolia so you can better understand what it has to offer. It has largely been known as a quiet, family-friendly place to live with many "cute" single family homes. Truly there is something for everyone in Magnolia, with more affordable condos and new construction development happening on the north side, to some of the most large grand homes on the South.
I am so excited to show you guys this building! I have been watching it get constructed for a little over a year now, and knew it would be a good one.
Thanks to Steve Snider the listing agent, for allowing me access to The Fitzgerald.

Insignia was Developed by Bosa Development and completed in 2016. Bosa is from British Columbia and has become known for several notable buildings in the Vancouver skyline. Insignia was their first leap into Washington state. They have a great reputation for building a quality product with attention to detail, and I have to say insignia is no exception! There are 690 units total within these two towers, making it the biggest condo building in Seattle. With this many units, you can always expect some sort of inventory for sale.
PRICING: 1 bedrooms are in the mid 600’s-to mid 700’s. 2 bedrooms range from the high 800’s going up to around 2 million 3 bedroom penthouses are 3-4 million
You can expect units to come with a parking spot, and many of the 2 bedrooms actually come with 2 parking spots- which is a rare perk for downtown condos.
’s important to note that they do require a 20% downpayment and only have 3 verified lenders you can use. This won’t always be the case, I’m not going to dive into why in this video but- as a buyer that can be a big pro for you, because it’s harder to buy in the building units are sitting a little longer and many are going below list price. That makes it a potentially good time to buy in the building, as they won’t always have this issue. For more information on why and if it’s something your interested in- shoot me an email!

Commonly referred to as just "SLU", it's in the most central location of Seattle, making it a great jumping-off point to enjoying the rest of the cities amenities. Living in South Lake Union is convenient & walkable. You get that downtown city feel with 40 story high-rises, but are just right across the street of Lake Union. SLU is filled with tech companies like the Amazon headquarters, Fred Hutch Research Center, Apple, Facebook, & Google just to name a few. Some of my favorite Seattle restaurants are in South Lake Union. Mbar, Cactus, and Tacos Chukis are all worth checking out if you are in the area. As for housing, SLU has many luxury apartment buildings to choose from with beautiful views of the city. If you are looking to buy, Veer Lofts as shown in today's video, is one of the few condos buildings available.
