Imagine 'OTT' without the downward compression, mixed with a 'doom compressor', but pushed to the extreme with zero phase shift and GMaudio quality. More on GMaudio TransD 2.0....
This device was featured in ELPHNT's - Max For Live Curated Collection. A list of devices that were meticulously selected for their incredible quality and creative potential.
Controls: There are 3 main parameters, all of which can be automated and have a wide useable range, controlling many internal parameters;
Transients - controls the balance between ‘no transients’ and ‘only transients’ Sensitivity - controls how many transients are ‘picked up’ by the transient detection Duration - controls the decay time of the transient envelope
The device is further expanded with Sidechain Input, MIDI Output and an External Envelope. GMaudio TransD 2.0 can effectively control 3 or more sounds at once with one instance, with parameter changes affecting all three sounds. You can also use it in an Audio Effect Rack to apply different processing to different parts of the signal.
All audio processing is custom code in gen~ carefully designed to avoid the need for oversampling, with over 100 iterations being tested.
Requirements: This is a Max For Live Device and therefore requires Ableton Live 10 or 11 Suite, or Standard with the Max For Live add on. Ableton Live 11 is required for MIDI output.

Happy music making! 🚀🎶GMaudio Ducker - Why other side-chain techniques dont work!Robert K // Fixation Studios2021-08-15 | GMaudio Ducker is the simplest, most precise and intuitive ducking tool for Ableton Live; robertkgm.gumroad.com/l/gma-duck
Version 1.2 is out now!
Time/Tempo based ducking tools = skewed by PDC (plugin delay compensation) MIDI Triggered Volume shaping = less accurate timing and skewed by PDC Side-chain compression = pops, clicks and inaccurate envelope Side-chain gate = inaccurate envelope automation = zipper noise, not enough smoothing similar plugins = poor accuracy and timing
GMaudio Ducker, when used correctly, is free of distortion (pops, clicks), is reliably accurate and allows perfect ducking for increasing headroom and therefore allows for more bass.
If you have any questions or feedback about the device, let me know in the comments.
Happy music making!GMaudio Ducker - Max For Live Sidechain Tool - IntroductionRobert K // Fixation Studios2021-08-11 | Side-chain compression simply doesn't work... By using Transient detection to trigger an envelope, specifically designed for bass volume control, you can mute the Bass and blend it back in with the Kick with 100% accuracy, so that they become one instrument, leading to more headroom, which means more bass! This is the simplest and most user friendly tool of its kind...
The Kick drum is the foundation of Electronic Music. The timing of your Bass instruments is paramount. GMaudio Ducker is a sample accurate side-chain tool designed to help you get your low-end thumping!
Side-chain compression is a technique commonly used to ensure that your Bass doesn't get in the way of your Kick. The problem is, that it's simply not accurate, and things like plugin delay compensation just skew this even more.
This device uses Transient Detection to trigger an ideal envelope for Bass volume control, that is always on time and 100% accurate.
- The Attack curve is fixed and designed to avoid any pops/clicks. - The Release curve is adjustable from logarithmic to exponential, allowing for the perfect crossfade between your Bass and Kick. - Increasing the Release and Amount beyond values of 100 will increase the length of time that your Bass is muted. - The visualisation helps you identify your signals easily and makes dialling in settings an absolute breeze.
The reason why your Bass must be 100% muted to avoid clashing with your Kick has to do with the way audio signals are summed together. Even a small amount of Bass while your Kick transient hits will skew the summed waveform, resulting in a different Kick transient with every drum hit. This device ensures that your Kick's Transient remains consistent and allows you to smoothly transition from Kick to Bass so that they become one Instrument, resulting in maximum headroom and a stronger low-end!
...you can always add side-chain compression after this device to create more variation in the groove of your bass, but without using a tool like this, your just making life harder for yourself... Do yourself, and your music a favour, and grab GMaudio Ducker Now!
This device works in Live 10.1 or 11, Standard (with Max For Live) or Suite.
If you like this device, please rate it 5 stars ✨

Perfect for glitchy IDM bizzo.
The trick sounds much better using an LFO due to it being a higher resolution than automation (more data points and smoother operation). If the control signal of the start position was an even higher resolution it would sound even better and be much closer to commercial granular samplers/synthesizers.
