This is a run for JP#3 that I optimized a bit more on - here's the absolutely final best result I will record for this one ^^
The event lasts from 01. to 14.MAR.2024 and has 8 JPs that can be explored, runs recorded and submitted to us if you wish to participate.
RULES and all info HERE: https://to.tyria.art/themeparkjp
However, with a few new strats and imrpoved movement here and there the current build still has the potential of beating the previous record time. If I had not messed up the one blink before CP3 it could have been at least on par. Therefore, I thought I'll share the current best run I got :D

The [JP] guild, an integral part of [UAoT] are presenting a free-for-all jumping puzzle competition on a brand new SAB-themed JP built by MvM.
The event is targeted towards every jumping skill level and the prize pool is distributed as broadly as possible.
It is designed such that everyone has equal chances to win something and it is NOT a winner-gets-all prize distribution on purpose.
On top, we complement the event with some live ingame music played by our affiliated guild [Muse].
The event will be streamed by Hellmasker (twitch.tv/hellmasker) - it is our first collaboration with him and we are looking forward to it!!
Thanks to:
JP builder: MvM in [EoB] guild hall
Sponsors: Nuriel, Zanar, Atom, Bam
Teaser editing and social media: Nemain
Event live music by [Muse] and [Song]
Stream by Hellmasker (Twitch.tv/Hellmasker)
If you know more guild hall JP owners that i should know of or visit please let me know!
Don't be deceived if it seems easy in this walkthrough, it is meant to show the way and what you can expect. There are several cuts.
If you want to visit this JP, just message any of the [JP] members or me (semf.5967)! We can also arrange for events in this JP, just tell us what you imagine.
[JP] is member of the United Arts of Tyria [UAoT] alliance of guilds that focus on all activities that can be considered "end game"^^
e.g. Fashion, Mount racing/stunts, Puzzles, Artworks, Screenshots&Edits, Raids, open world stuff.
We also run all kind of events there, check us out and join our discord at discord.gg/tqmt6Zu6bG !

Info & Rules:
GENERAL
1a) Be prepared for many failed jumps.
1b) I built the puzzle so that it fills an event evening, be prepared for 2-3 hours of jumping.
1c) There are dodge-jumps and other hard jumps required to complete the JP. Be sure you are able to do them if you want to compete
1d) Wall/pixel jumps are not included in the path, but if you find one you can use it.
1e) There can be multiple paths, and the main path might not always be the most obvious one. You will however not lose much time if you go a wrong path since wrong paths end soon.
CLASSES & ITEMS
2a) You are not allowed to use any kind of speed buff or trait that increases your character's movement speed. If you chose a class that has hidden movement traits (e.g. Chrono, Engineer, Necro) you will be required to jump with a tonic specified by us.
2b) Only normal dodge-jumps are allowed, no mirage / daredevil dodges. No leap skills or any other skills (besides your jumping ones :p) are neither required nor allowed.
2c) You are not allowed to use any items or traits that improve endurance regeneration or provide any other unfair advantage over others (e.g. Executioner's Axe, teleport gun,..)
FAILED JUMPS
3a) If you fail a jump you are allowed to glide to whichever spot you already reached before or if you fall into the water swim to any block that leads to a spot in the JP which you already passed. Swimming past passages and entering at a later part is not allowed.
3b) You may not use Mounts, Portals, position rewinder or other means to return to a previous position.
PRICE ELIGIBILITY
4a) Whoever finishes the puzzle from start to end using the path designated by the SAB building blocks and adhering to the rules above is eligible to win the price pool items.
4b) The ranking is by completion speed - whoever reaches the chest first wins. Depending on participants count we might need to split the event, in that case we will take time to compare groups of different starting parties.
Thanks so much to Nimmi and Nuriel for this path!
Hope you enjoy :)
I made guides to complete some zones effectively instead (felt more productive - check them out if you haven't) and recorded this run yesterday for the lulz. Not the best run, not the best route, not flawless, but anyways, can't let the competition go away without at least submitting one run.
I hope I could express myself well in this masterpiece of a video :P

Thanks to Nuriel, Tulma and Falkna for the skip research :D
►About the project◄
We thought the JP section on speedrun.com needs more attention AND more Mesmer input (instead of mostly Thieves.. Mesmers CAN keep up :P) and therefore recorded some runs according to the rules defined on the website (find rules below). We tried to make the runs as entertaining and fun to watch as possible, hopefully you enjoy them :). We will release a full playlist of (almost) all Jumping Puzzles soon.
I personally like JPs a lot -who would have guessed it- looking for skips or helping out others. One gets to know many people by portaling in jumping puzzles (especially in the Ember Bay volcano or Not So Secret, the all time favorites :P) in case they require help or hate jumping and want to return to other stuff ASAP. It introduces a nice layer of collaboration and space to hang out. No salt, no randoms pointlessly raging about everything (besides maybe jumping, but that's what you can aid them with).
With this I also would like to highlight that it is a shame that there weren't any new jumping puzzles introduced since PoF. They had so much room on these maps, but instead of creating more collaborative stuff Anet strategically decided to turn away from JPs (as seen in staffing decisions) and on these maps mainly added solo time-trials, grindy headhunts and such. Don't get me wrong, I also enjoy those... but honestly, the replay value besides grinding on those maps is close to 0. Btw, the tiny JP in Jahai Bluffs is an outrage...if I may be salty myself a bit.
A proposal from our side would be to introduce monthly JP leaderboards, maybe coupled to some rewards, just to revive the JPs a bit in case there aren't any new planned in the future... ;(

Had to show the actual JP itself at least a bit.
A proposal from our side would be to introduce monthly JP leaderboards, maybe coupled to some rewards, just to revive the JPs a bit in case there aren't any new planned in the future... ;(

Speedrun.com rules state that the run timing starts from the respawn point where one can get the bomb until end chest. Since there have been runs before not taking the bomb, I also didn't do that. Interestingly, it is quicker to go directly from waypoint and skip to chest as seen in the video. With bomb the run take ofc a bit longer as you need to do a different skip (over the roof of the respawn point etc...)

Dark Reverie starts at 0:53.
The Morgan's Leap one was very hard to beat - kudos to Joe Jonny Jeff who already presented a unbelievable run (34s) here. I was next to quit trying this run - but then we found that skip to the branch that saved us 1-2 seconds :) Thanks Falkna and Nuriel for searching with me!
For the Reverie one there is noch much to say, besides that it can be skipped easily with the TP gun. Thanks Nuriel for finding that skip and sorry for beating your time :'D
