Sorry, it's a quick capture (I lost my editing software), but I got a new camera finally!
Why do I make videos?
To paraphrase Sam Harris, I want my atheism to fade into the background, and I want to merely be a person who destroys bad ideas wherever he finds them - whatever form they might take.
I don't have time to watch very many videos AT ALL these days, so I don't have a lot of ideas at the moment (most of my past videos have been direct or indirect responses to other videos and comments).

The amount of comments that get deleted is virtually zero. Comment deletion is basically restricted to obvious spam, personal information, or advocating violence. I DO NOT DELETE COMMENTS OF PEOPLE I AM ACTUALLY ARGUING WITH.
Being blocked from a particular channel does NOT violate your "free speech" rights because YOU STILL HAVE YOUR CHANNEL AND CAN POST ALL OF THE VIDEOS YOU WANT.
A quick glance on any of my videos will demonstrate that I don't block people JUST for disagreeing with me. Engaging with "dissent" is part of my primary motivation here.
I have also embraced a tactic outlined by FakeSagan (whose methods and positions I tend to disagree with):
If I see you say something REALLY stupid and/or hateful on another channel, I just might take the time to block you before you even make it over to my channel. If I "pre_blocked" you, you definitely earned it. But that will also be temporary as outlined in the video.

I should probably make a calendar or something so as to be more precise with deadlines in the future.
Chapter 4 is pretty long, and may be split into two parts. Hopefully the next one comes soon.
I've got some work-work to catch up on (which I can do from home, which is nice - being a webmaster has it's perks)....

I think it is VERY conceivable that I can do one whole chapter a week for the next 14 weeks in order to finish the book. I can make one or more (LONG) video(s) for each chapter.
No, this will not keep me from getting the Big Bang thing done this summer, OR all those video responses I promised (which are on a list and ARE on the way!).
For the sake of transparency and consistency, I cannot make any promises about specific amounts (you'll just have to trust me), but the more people throw me a buck for a given chapter, the more likely/more soon the next one will be. ;D
If enough brave souls can throw $14 at me, I will GREATLY hasten the project.
I CAN promise that anyone who gives me $14 (or more) will get a dollar back for every week I don't post a new chapter.
Also, it will all be released under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial license, regardless of the pace.

Join James Peebles, one of the world's foremost cosmologists, as he explores the universe. Like fossils, thermal radiation carries information about the past, in this case the nature of the early universe. This information has confirmed ideas about the expanding universe, and it has presented us with new challenges. In particular, dark matter and dark energy. It seems to be done in a spirit similar to UC Berkeley's "Physics for Future Presidents Course" (

, in that it is aimed at non-bio majors, and provides "real world" context for what is being discussed.

One of the last lectures of the semester from the (WONDERFUL) class "Physics for Future Presidents" class at UC Berkeley. The class is taught by Richard Muller, but this lecture is from Bob Jacobsen, who is also a great lecturer (and has appeared on at least one episode of Mythbusters, yeah!).

It's not quite supposed to.
This is a parody done in the style of the video/channel linked below. Satire?

Details:
Todd is one of the most underappreciated 'Tubers there is.
He is the author of "Dialogue with a Christian Proselytizer".
His videos are consistently clear and concise. I think he epitomizes the idea of cool, calm, collected - but irresistably persuasive. He's a nice guy.
And he got hit by votebots recently.
As a favor, I ask you to help counter the votebot attack by going through this list and 5-starring as many of the videos as you can.
The list is everything on his channel as of today. You can just rate and move on to the next one.
Let's show that votebotting is not just deplorable, but "counterproductive'!
Here are three good examples of the kind of videos he does, if you need convincing. ;D
:
"When science contradicts Scripture: how theists cope"

"Obama's Christianity: why it might be sincere, why it might not, and why it might not matter"
