Sneak Peek #4 |September 2023 Box of the Month Comfy and Cozy| Not 2 Shabby Shop NOT 2 SHABBY 2023-08-30 | Hi everyone! It's almost time for the September 2023 box of the month release and I am here to reveal one of the stamp sets called Be Cozy. I created a fun whimsical card inspired by Harry Potter. I took a quiz online for fun to see which house I belong to. It revealed I'm a Slytherin. LOL! I colored my images the house colors with water color pencils and I did an emboss resist technique. I ink blended my background with distress oxide inks and ink splattered my background with my Kuretake Starry watercolors. Today's card is a 5x7 card with room for loads of fun!Here's what you will need:A 5x7 card base your choice of color, but make sure it's sturdy at least 110lbs.2- pieces of 4 7/8 x 6 7/8 cardstock (this is for stability)1- 6 x 4 3/4 piece of pattern paper1 scrap at least 4 7/8 x 1 (this is to fill in to the end)A one inch by 7 1/4 strip of matching cardstock (match with either the card base of the card front or the mat layers!3 - 1x1 pieces of card stock at least 110lbs6 - 2 1/2 x 2 solid cardstock for mat layers6 - 1 3/4 x 2 1/4 pieces of pattern paper for the background. Your choice of ephemera, stamped and colored images, sentiments.Double sided tape and/or strong liquid glue. TEMPLATE MEASUREMENTSTemplate will be 4 7/8x6 7/8Measure 1/4 inch from the right on the long edge and make a line, then at 2 3/8 of an inch, and again at 4 1/2. Flip it over and make a line on the long side at 1 7/8 and 2 7/8. Draw heavy lines between the two points and cut at each heavy line making the cuts wider than a dime! (Please see video for example.)
