I just adored the theme and knew i had to take part as soon as I saw it! story: Melody is humiliated at a party and she's devastated when everyone laughs and makes fun of her. As a result, she loses her colors. Jim watches from the crowd and is at first sad for Melody but then angry that everyone is being so cruel to her. Later, he goes to her and tries to console her, but she's lost her sense of self-worth and tells Jim she's not worth the effort. Frustrated, Jim tells her she should never think like that and that she shouldn't care what those awful people think, because she's amazing and he loves her. When he grabs her hand her colors return because she's happy again :)

I originally started this project with the intention of hosting an MEP that focused on bi and pan girls without portraying them as cheaters and without any of the LGBT characters dying, because both are unfortunate tropes I see used a LOT in videos and I wanted to try and counteract that. Since then it’s morphed to include poly relationships and celebrating them and I couldn’t be happier about that! It’s rare to see bi and pan characters portrayed in a positive light in the non/Disney editing world, but it’s equally rare to see poly relationships portrayed at ALL, much less positively. underneath the blood orange sun • Meg (Anne Boleyn) + John Rolfe (Henry VIII) NightShayde 2017-06-30 | for dgs, we were supposed to portray a historical/mythical couple using non/disney characters and I naturally gravitated to who I consider to be the most fascinating and tragic couple in all of history :) Not entirely happy with this but I put a lot of work into it so here it is hahafor those who don't know the story of King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn (what are you, living under a rock?), when they met Henry was married to Catherine of Aragon (portrayed by Anya here). After a long struggle for a divorce (which I wasn't able to show here for lack of time) he was finally able to marry Anne. Together, they had a daughter, whom they loved and doted on, but Henry desperately wanted the son Anne promised him and was displeased when she couldn't deliver (again, didn't show it for lack of time but Anne had 2-3 miscarriages after Elizabeth, one was definitely a boy). Add to that Henry's multiple affairs and Anne's fiery temper, and they were wired to explode from day 1. They began to fight more as Henry continued to parade his mistresses around publicly, including Jane Seymour (played by Odette here), who he would eventually marry. Henry was desperate to marry Jane and get a son off her, and religious/public officials and nobles alike (Frollo and Edward, who represent Thomas Cromwell and Thomas Seymour/Charles Brandon, who wanted her gone for different reasons) began conspiring to get rid of Anne. Henry began hearing whispers from trusted friends that Anne was cheating on him with numerous men, including her own brother (possibly Eric?) He had her arrested and, after a farce of a trial, convicted on charges of treason, adultery, incest, and (depending on who you ask) witchcraft. Today, most people agree that she was innocent of all charges, but you can decide for yourself in the video if Henry knew that or not. She executed on May 19th 1536, beheaded by an expert french swordsman. Whether Henry did this as a final act of love or spite, who knows.In the end, Anne made good on her promise to Henry to deliver him an heir, it just wasn't the boy he wanted. Henry and Anne's daughter grew up to be Elizabeth I, one of the most famous and prosperous English Queens in history :)Aaand that's all she wrote, folks. Jim is head over heels for her and is planning to propose in their secret spot in the woods. However, Aurora's high-society friends find them before he can get the words out. Aurora is mortified because her friends look down on people like Jim. She openly denies having anything to do with him to his face, telling them he's got a pathetic crush on her in order to protect her reputation. Jim is devastated, but one of Aurora's friends, Jane, is disgusted by the girls behavior and stays behind to comfort the poor boy.Eventually the two fall in love, and when Aurora realizes what she lost in Jim a few months later she finds he and Jane together. Aurora is confused and distraught when Jane tells her they plan on getting married. When she gets visibly upset Jim angrily tells her to leave and that she has no right to be upset, believing she got what she deserved.

Ariel was understandably upset and eventually her anguish appealed to his conscience and he apologized for being a dick and scaring her. didn't let her go though. but somehow his simple display of kindness got her to see him in a different light.

However I'm not good enough to make the characters look like JH so I took a little inspiration from their origin instead, spot the easter egg and you get a cookie ;)Jasmine and Hades are a volatile and abusive relationship but it'sa cycle neither seems to want to break. Often Hades will even push her to the brink of death, but Jasmine is literally and metaphorically unable to break away. After a particularly painful encounter, she remembers how they first met: Jasmine died and when her soul goes to the underworld and she meets Hades, he's smitten, and she can very easily tell. She uses this to her advantage and seduces him into a deal that grants her eternal life under the condition that he can have "whatever he wants" from her. In the end, she seduced him with her looks and he seduced her with promises of immortality and luxury, even conjuring a palace in the underworld for her to have to herself. Things have obviously turned sour since then, and yet again as Jasmine considers escaping, Hades shows her the slightest bit of kindness and she's ensnared yet again. Gaston recruits a mob to purge the town of the evil sin that is Odette and they all set off to search for her and Pocahontas. The girls see them coming and Odette tells Poca to run so they won't see them together but she doesn't want to leave Odette alone and can feel that something is wrong. Eventually though Odette convinces her to run and gets cornered by the Mob, when she tries to play dumb Gaston tells her they've all seen her relationship with Poca and Odette tries to make a run for it.Pocahontas hears Odette yelling and races back, but it's too late. She's already been badly beaten (invisible bruises??) and the mob is nowhere to be seen. Odette is just concious enough to say goodbye and tell Poca she loves her before dying.that awkward moment when Gaston has more pain-in-the-ass-to-mask curves than any of the women in this video.
