Remarkable Time Lapse of Highest Tides in the World Over 8 Hours (4K) On The Coast Photography 2021-05-03 | In this time lapse, you will see the flow of water pushing it's way to the right where the tide is coming in and then flowing outward to the left as the Minas Basin is flowing out due to low tide. The Minas Basin fills up twice a day through the 5 kilometre passage between Cape Split and Parrsboro. More than 10 cubic kilometers of seawater, weighing 10 billion tonnes, flows in and out at Cape Split twice daily. This force is roughly comparable to that of 25 million horses. Taken in September 2020 when the nights are cold and the days are warm you can see how the weather in Nova Scotia can change very quickly at times. At one moment in the video we were completely engulphed in fog which lasted for a little more than 30 minutes, clearing up shortly after.

This was roughly 35 centimeters (nearly 14 inches). This time lapse was taken with a Sigma 10-20 mm on a Canon T5i overnight from 6 pm until 10 am.
