Despite a lot of instrument variation it's the smallest track I've done for this project so far. Hope you'll enjoy kicking some blast processed ass to it.
Oh and the screenshot is my own conversion from earlier, it uses MD colors but doesn't consider other limitations.
Here's a little something from what I've been working on lately. I was recently asked by Pigsy if I could help out with a couple of tracks for his SotN project as well. These tracks are more complex and way harder to transpose properly (non-chiptune, many harmonies) as well as trim to size than the previous GG Shinobi tracks, but I'm making steady progress. On the other hand I am modeling more after the originals rather than having to come up with new soundscapes.

Instrument design is mostly owed to RigidatoMS here. Note that the snare sounds a little off in this upload (davinci resolve didn't quite export the sound properly), check the vgm for maximum accuracy.

The game selection is based mainly on user ratings from gamefaqs and mobygames (about 20+ votes and 3/5+ or 7/10+ ratings), and to a lesser extent igdb, imdb (they have better data for the '90s onwards), lemon64 and lemonamiga. From the early ‘90s onwards I increased the rating requirement for these to about 3.75/5 or 7.5/10. Original release dates were used.

Doesn't seem like tryphon's gonna use any of these remakes for his port (don't know why) so I thought I'd upload the rest of them rather than let the work go to waste. Didn't use sampled drums as I was waiting for feedback on that, they've mostly just been sitting on my PC for like a year now besides some minor tweaks.

Requested by SeregaZ. Turns out they've figured out how to insert songs into the genesis version of this game, although there are some severe limitations. FM channels only, no drum samples, as little action as possible on channel 6 since the commentator cuts it out, no channel 3 mode, as few loops and as few effects as possible. So the version you'll hear in-game might be a little different still but this is what it should've sounded like.

Another port with a pretty standard GEMS treatment, meaning no drum samples or PSG used and mostly so-so instruments. Seems it's also missing one or more tracks. It has some decent organ and keyboard work as well as deep, fuzzy bass on some tracks though. Around the middle there's a SNES to MD mockup I made which uses 60 colors. Note that the MD port has a larger horizontal resolution.
