For this song, I did 6 retakes because I wanted it to be perfect. Reason why I kept on redoing it was because I was told I had to belt this song in order for it to sound amazing. After 4-5 attempts, I realized that I couldn't be something I'm not. I have a soft voice. I can't change that even though I tried to. So after recording 4 horrible version of this song where I tried to belt, I decided to do it my way. If you think about it, my situation was super ironic. This song is about telling the world that you're not perfect, but you should do you and people will appreciate you for it.
