The Red Plumbob
Sims 2 vs Sims 3 vs Sims 4 - Worlds
updated
Sims 1 is as always a good base but without much depth, invisible friends were 1 of the many spells so I can see why these feel so shallow in comparison
Sims 3 is where the true imaginary friends were created as a separate kinda occult. Their look was a little creepy rather than cute but I liked how these worked with growing up and becoming real. Its a neat npc in a pack full of cool family oriented features
Sims 4 reintroduced them recently with adventure awaits, I cant say that Ive used them a lot but they are fun indeed. I like the evil one the best and wish they were all this cahotic, which could have been done easy with the other traits, but who knows.
so for me 3 and 4 did an equally good job but I lean a bit more towards 4 because of the evil one. But thats just my opinion, what about you? Let me know and Ill see you on the next one
Gnomes are a teeny tiny portion of the game and I barely paid attention to them until now. So this was quite fun to explore all of them in detail. Which one is your favorite?
My opinion?
Sims 1 is hard to beat cause its the only one where they actually move around and create chaos, it is fun to see them running around getting drunk and chasing pets, also useful cause plants die so much in that game.
Sims 2 was very meh, I liked the detail of sims stealing them back and playing with them by tossing them up, but yeah, not much content in this one
Sims 3 has a lot of content for their gnomes, not only are there many different gnomes, but they all have different poses and they all are attracted to different stuff, I also like how some take you on a little journey to find them.
Sims 4 is also cool with them being so useful and such a pain when they become evil, Ilike how enchanted by nature made them even more extreme in both ends and how many different types of gnomes there are.
So for me it would be 1 3 4 2 in that order, I just like to see things move and while Sims 3 and 4 did their attempts I dont think they reached Sims 1.
But those are just my thoughts, what about you? Let me know and I will see you on the next one. I am debating platsims or anotherone that has been on hold since forever but lets see
So fairies are finally here and of course they had their own pack. I remember a conversation a while back with someone talking about a magic centered pack with fairies, unicorns and dragons. It wouldve been cool, but lets remember this is Sims 4 that we are talking about. I remember before 2020 when occults wouldcome in game packs, but nope, now they dedicate entire expansions to 1 occult and I do not like it but I guess shrinkflation exists in games as well and it sucks, I do miss game packs
Anyways, lets stop rambling and go back to the main topic, fairies, what do you think of them? My opinion?
I find Sims 3 more playful in their abilities, they are just pranking everyone and while they feel a little short in comparions, I have to give it to them for being one of a few occults in supernatural
Sims 4, obviously they are so pretty and I love the world they made for them...however, I do not like their powers cause they are things that already exist. Controlling emotions? Really? Relationships? Plants? Idk, I guess I expected pranksters but maybe thats just me. Fairies are not that well defined by any media cause they all work differently so its cool to see Maxis exploring different types of fairies.
Overall, I cannot pick a winner and I am curious which one will gfet the popular vote. Sims 3 is the game that most people like but Sims 4 is newer so I am excited to see which one "wins" this
But that is just my opinion, let me know yours and I will see you on the next one. Probably gnomes but plantsims might need an update FINALLY but I am still disappointed tho, oh well, Ill leave this rambling for that one

The spa is a very tiny lot in the sims that I always enjoy visiting, maybe its the sounds or the atmosphere but I always feel second hand relaxation from these
Which one is your favorite? Mine?
Sims 1 is the basics, I actually love how exxagerated some of the movements are and how big the spa is. It has a great variety of activities and I think its very fitting that it came in a pack like superstar
Sims 2 was a little short with elements alone like the sauna and the fact that it has no special bath but I liked how you had to travel everywhere to get all of the massages
Sims 3 followed Sims 2s lead in massages but then they did their own thing for the sauna and I thought it was a very cool object, I do not appreciate the fact that it comes with yet another world tho
Sims 4 is actually well done but I feel a certain way because they had to dedicate a whole stuff pack to this, however, it is good. I kinda miss when they used to make stuff packs instead of a million kits with clothes and objects that have no use tbh. So theres that.
But thats just my opinion. Whats yours? Let me know and Ill see you on the next one!
It will very likely be fairies and then I wanna do plant sims but lets see how it goes. Ill be on vacation (I swear I always am when these fricken packs come out) so I dont think Ill be on time but it will come for sure.
Basically I dont think Sims 1 or 2 will be able to compete so I expanded them here a bit like a nod to their history but in the video with Sims 4 they will be briefly mentioned in the extras, and this is mainly for Sims 1 since Sims 2 is just...a huge reach. Sims 3 is gonna be the only real competitor and seeing they have a separate pack I know (hope) they will try to make them better but lets see if that is true.
I wanted to get this video out since the rumor started but its cool that now there is an actual trailer and 100% certainty that they are coming back haha I hope they make them different from Sims 3 cause they were basically pranksters who could fly and I liked that in Sims 3 but I hope they didnt just copy and paste it.
Now just less than 2 weeks to go for the new pack, are you excited? I know I am! Now if we could just get dragons...
I know the majority of people dont care about animation but I am not one of those people, I care deeply and inzoi animations annoy the hell out of me. Is it important? Nope. Do I still care? Yep.
I tried to be less critical towrds the end, but just know, these 2 games have me very unhappy but inzois broken animation is just the cherry on top of the iceberg of issues. I wonder if they can rework the animations or if they will stay like that.
I have yet to see the sims team ever rework animations, and I know it must be a pain to do so, specially cause they are so many. So, while inzoi is early access and blablabla, I could bet these animations will remain this way. Hopefully Im wrong but lets see
Anywys, this is about pregnancy and birth, I put all the updates on the extra section cause I feel inzoi will eventually introduce a hospital and I bet it will be cool if they do. But for now of course Sims 4 has better functions
The more I play inzoi the more I notice little things that annoy me tbh, if its not the controls, then its the broken animations, then its the interface... it feels wonky at the moment and I wonder if theyll be able to fix it or if itll be Sims 4 all over again where theyre working with a faulty foundation so its errors become more and more limiting as time goes by. I guess we will find out.
Pushed the other project once again which I actually wanted to have by april 1st so now its officially gonna become one of those that takes me forever to get out. Oh well.
INZOI IS OUT NOW! For early access, but still, I thought they were gonna keep delaying it forever so its nice to see it here, even tho I gotta say its quite shallow as of now imo but its a pretty game for sure. My laptop almost burned with it but it was worth it.
I keep trying to think what attracts me to the sims? what keeps me playing? why am I not drawn to this game? And honestly, for me its the whackiness and the push for keeping up their wants and needs, this game is lacking a clear direction, its like GTA except there are no immediate missions, youre supposed to just, idk, explore? Thats not my style but if its yours then you are gonna love this, plus, $40 sounds cheap considering the stuff EA dares to call expansions so Im not mad at all, Im just saying, I dont know if it can really keep people playing for long.
Ive only played for a few days and Im already out of things to do but I havent really tried. I will compare animations and other small details but I dont think this game is complete enough to compete with the sims as of now, but those are just my thoughts, what do you think? Let me know and I will see you on the next one
What is you opinion on tattoos?
For this one, there is very little competition imo
Sims 3 has a nice variety of chairs but thats it, Sims 4 beats it out in how tattoos are handled imo, I always disliked Sims 3 limited shapes for all of the sections so Sims 4 fixed that for me. Both skills came in packs (altho Businesses and Hobbies does not hold a candleto Ambitions) so this is one of those were in this super specific topic, the winner is clear for me.
But that is just my opinion, Im sure Sims 3 will somehow win this one lol
Next video I am unsure if Im going with Businesses or if I go back to a topic I have been working on and putting aside to keep up with the newness of Sims 4, we shall see.
This video is basically an update of the old one, I have seen many people have been going back to the old one asking me to update it so I thought, now is the time.
So what are your thoughts on burglars? Mine?
Basically same as last time
Sims 1 is iconic, its the first one, its the most nostalgic one and the toughest one! Sims making a big deal out of being woken up is always a nightmare but specially when there is a burglar at home haha
Sims 2 added a lot with the police car and being able to set them free, however, these are not as difficult to beat as the ones in Sims 1, whether that is a pus or not depends on everyones preferences but for me it is a huge plus
Sims 3 added cool stuff making sims be able to fight them, I loved being more hands on with them and not feel like I depended on the police, also, adding kleptomania is a huge plus
Sims 4 arrived late but now that its here I think they did a decent job, I miss cars here but it does not detract from burglars, I like their little walk and the fact that they are very easy to beat makes them less of a threat and more of a nuance. I did not try the lot trait but I am gonna
I would not be surprised if sims 4 loses this one due to people being so done with the game as a whole but I think it deserves 3rd to 2nd place. Lets see
Next video is likely gonna be tattoos and I am unsure about pottery but lets see, perhaps businesses? hmmm

So 25 years of the sims later, the giant party cake is back! I don't remember last time Sims 4 brought bac something unique to Sims 1 but this is exciting, it's only for a throwback event so remember, this is free! Also, here's the link in case you would rather downaload it:

Also here's the full video from Cendrillion about the tragic clown:
youtube.com/watch?v=Wo4NTx3ESzk
If anyone has a clue on how to make this happen do let me know, cause after hundreds of cakes and trying all different scenarios, I just could not make him show up
so yup, to me Sims 1 wins this one BUT sims 4 is free content so I'm gonna cut it some slack and say at least sims can eat this one. However, to take one of the raunchiest objects from Sims 1 and make is so unraunchey is a very Sims 4 move lol
Can you believe I thought this was gonna be a short one? clearly I forgot how long these short videos could get
Anyways, I feel this is a compilation rather than a comparison as I barely touched on the gameplay. To be honest, I made this video because I wanted to see all of the channels together so I thought Id make it a video. I love seeing how these have changed with time and how creative they are getting! I feel channels were kind of neglected until recently, I love the new additions and I could have talked more about way more thing that can be done with a tv like making home videos, playing videogames, etc. But I have to cut it at some point!
Anyways, which one is your favorite?
My opinion?
Sims 1 was the foundation, I understand getting a video was not gonna be a thing but I liked how creative they got with their audios, it is a very unique experience
seeing every other TV is tied to whatever the game can actually do.
Sims 2 is revolutionary, not only for being the first to use video, but for making channels so fun, I think Sims 1 took the job a little too seriously
but Sims 2 just had fun with it, making parodies and such. However, I can barely see some of the videos cause the resolution is potatoe quality
Sims 3 is kinda meh in this regard, the only thing they really did right is the weather channel imo cause its cool how well thought out it is.
Sims 4 has good variety and it has the best video quality, obviously and when it comes to their stories I find the later ones have been the best, however,
I cannot help but laugh when I see they use a car and its always the toy car. Someone get Sims 4 cars please!
So yeah, my ranking would be 1, 3, 4-2 cause those games have ups and downs but they both have good stories and a nice variety.
But thats just my opinion, let me know yours and Ill see you on the next one.

Anyway, there is a lot more to ghosts than there was when I made my comparison all those years ago so this is an update rather to that. Back in the day I used to focus on the basegame but after 10 years of Sims 4 I am very much done doing that, it is a blessing and a curse cause there are sooo many little details that I cannot possibliy cover. I didnt mention all the packs that were used here but it was basically all of them
This is an evolution so Im just gonna mention the things I like about each
Sims 1 had great sounds and they felt like being haunted so it is a very different experience from modern ghosts, which just break everything, so that is kind of a plus in my book
Sims 2 again had that spooky vibe to it but this time ghosts can be more calm ias long as you dont piss them off and they kill you! They are the scariest in that regard
Sims 3 is where everything changes, ghosts become more normal and even playful, plus, it is nice knowing they cant kill you and that ghosts babies and ghost pets exist
Sims 4 has the advantage of the new life and death expansion, obviously it is gonna be better than the basegame. I love how they went back to their spooky roots and now they bring some threat to the game, but they cannot kill sims and correct me if Im wrong but only playable ghosts can do all of these things so it feels like once again the Maxis team is too afraid to make the player lose control and thats not the point of ghosts imo.
But thats just my opinion, let me know yours and Ill see you on the next one, Im thinking of covering deaths next so wish me luck

I could have gone on about the creative skill and the ways to optimize paintings but tbh, I could go on forever on ways to gain skills faster as a whole so just remember this video is about painting. I was tempted to add sketching to the list but maybe in the future I revisit sketching...or not idk
Anyways, what is your favorite iteration of painting? Mine?
Sims 1 is the foundation as always and it did fall shorter than usual this time imo. I thought there were way more paintings for some reason but it is just the 4. So yeah, not impressed but its not like I expect a lot from Sims 1 with most details
Sims 2 also fell a little short for me but I did like how free time added a little more into it. I didnt touch on the business side of things with this one but its a cool side of any skill if you have open for business
Sims 3 was when it really started feeling more interesting for me, just the fact that sims can paint anything in the world by taking a picture for reference feels more involved than usual. I also love the variety in paintings
Sims 4 is the superior one if we talk about styles of painting alone, they were so many paintings that there was no way I could fit them all for a picture even if I focused on one size. As a skill, it also feels well done cause you dont gain it super fast (unless youre actively trying to) and the burnout feels very real. I think it might be my favorite with Sims 3 going right behind it. I didnt appreciate them not letting children paint though, that is a weird move.
But that is just my opinion, let me know yours and I will see you on the next one. I was thinking on revisiting ghosts but Ill wait for the life and death expansion, so I am considering ghost hunting but we will see
So which is your favorite of these? My opinion?
Sims 1 is quite basic but incredibly out there, this is the closest they have gotten to skipping the T rating, its so raunchey and out there. And the sounds!! Itsalot
Sims 2 is very charming with all the little details in their animations and how they walked the line between sweet and...you know
Sims 3 was very meh for me, I hate how the animations break cause they were just copy pasted and they didnt bring many new things but I gotta admit the ones they did are were cool.
Sims 4 was very vanilla up until now, lovestruck brought a lot of the excitement missing in the interactions, its cool seeing them remember they are rated T and even then most of these look tame in comparison to the first entries. But I welcome this regardless, Ive been having fun with the pack and may make an updated video for dating.
So yeah, my order would be Sims 2, Sims 4, Sims 3 and Sims 1. But I will look forward to seeing what the final ranking is.
I do not use this object enough so it was fun to explore all the poses and notice the little differences. This is an object which I havent used in real life ever cause these days phones even offer them, so I guess its an old tech that was carried over. Or perhaps its just where I live that they arent so popular? Perhaps
Which one is your favorite? Mine?
Sims 2 was the foundation, I liked the details of the photo being revealed and the old tech in that booth, its really nostalgic seeing tech represented in the sims series
Sims 3 had a great variety both in animations and in use of the object, I thought it was weird that kids couldnt take pictures with other sims tho
Sims 4 did a bad job in animation but they made it up by having so many more options in poses and use for the photos. I thought it was weird that kids couldnt use the booth at all! I wonder if they forgot or they couldnt figure out a way to adjust their height for the poses? They likely ran into an issue but it sucks that kids cant use these
So yeah, Sims 3 wins in my book just because its the safe middle, but all of them have cool details imo. But thats just my opinion, what about you? Let me know and lets see if I compare dates AGAIN since there is gonna be a new expansion focused on dating...ughhh! I hate repeating videos but Ill see if I can make this one look fresh

Anyways, what a video to talk about death huh? This is easily in my top 5 npcs, I cant believe he wasnt there since day 1, hes so iconic! I honestly appreciate all of the spins the sims gave him
Sims 1 set the foundation and it was very solid, showing up all supernatural, doing his little thing and being able to plead? Great and I can see why hes made a comeback since, I like the detail about bonehilda asking for his autograph and the ding dong ditch.
Sims 2 built up on it, more ways to save from death and they included him a lot more in other packs. I like his personality of more laid back and casual, love his dialogue too. But in this case he seems weak in comparison to the others
Sims 3 is delightful, hes the only one with his own song and it seems so over the top, I just love it. I like the little details that were added in his manor but yall know how I feel about items being kept on a particular venue which is too expensive for what it is. But gameplay wise hes great
Sims 4 is okay, I like his new cloak but I dont like how he just stares at his ipad, its a miracle that hasnt aged as much considering this game is about to turn 10 years old! I dont like how they skipped him being kind to animals but it seems they remembered when the game was halfay done lol
So for me itd be 3 but I like aspects in all of them, what about you? Let me know and Ill see you on the next. Idk when Ill be able to fix my pc but I hope it doesnt take me long

Birds are such a teeny tiny detail in the sims that I think many of us forget they're even there. I remember the first time I bought one, it was in Sims 2, I thought it was cool that he flew around but I forgot to feed him, he died and I felt so bad that I didn't try to have a bird ever again, neither in the sims nor irl.
What's your experience with these little guys? Do you like them? Do you think EA will keep milking the sims 4 to reintroduce them as pets? My opinion?
Sims 1 was a solid base, with small and large birds behaving differently, altho, small birds feel barely there and large birds make way too much noise that they won't let my sims nap in peace not me play in silence, they're so annoying! But maybe that's just me
Sims 2 was a great progress, birds have more movement and variety in species of large birds, they have more interactions and can actually leave the cage if you want them to, cool stuff.
Sims 3 copied many things from Sims 2 but improved the way to get birds and reintroduced small birds, it's nice to have so many different varieties in their looks and I think it's neat how you can find them around the world if you're lucky (or have a certain trait)
Sims 4 scrapped all of this and we no longer get pet birds, instead, we get to interact with the wild birds and I think this is very nice in concept, but as a game meant for playing? I'm not sure. I love their little interactions and how they can actually get you stuff and help you with gardening, so yeah, these is a good change but I still miss the pet bird feeling. I'm not sure if pet birds will make a comeback or not but these are fine imo
But that's just my opinion, let me know your's and I'll see you on the next one! I'm thinking either grimm reaper or unique objects or finally stop procrastinating on the horse video, I guess you'll eventually know. Take care!
I actually had started recording a comparison about apartments ALL the way back in 2019. But, as I often do, I dropped the project halfway because too many things didn't click. So I guess it's better this way because I won't have to repeat myself. I know you can't tell but I hate repeating videos, and I dread when Sims 4 is done and I have to look for a way to not just go over the same things
Anyways, SNOWMEN! I'm actually working on a video about snow activities because my winter video barely scratched the surface (I mean, I couldn't include sims 1) and snowmen were taking so much space and Sims 1's details were so cute that I thought it'd be best for them to get their own video. It's such a small game detail but one that I've always appreciated.
So which one's the best?
My opinion?
Sims 1 is quite lovely just because of that little detail of helping the child finish the snowman, it's just too cute! I also like how it depends on skill and how so many sims can help out. Cool details all around
Sims 2, this is one of those rare times where it didn't really improve. Sure, the animation is better, kids can build them and the snowmen are okay but yeah. My least favorite in this super specific category
Sims 3 was pretty good, I don't like when it just copies Sims 2's animations but why fix it if it ain't broken? I liked the many types of snowmen and how different sims can get them. I had my backyard filled with snowmen until I gave up and just created an alien to create the alien snowman.
Sims 4 is a little behind in animation but I'll forgive them because the snowpal mechanic is cool. It's not too deep but I liked it, it gives something unique to kids and toddlers and I always welcome that in Sims 4 cause it feels like it focuses too much on young adults sometimes...most times.
But that's just my opinion, let me know yours and I'll see you on the next one. I'm gonna work on apartments for sure but later there will be a snow activities video to cover all of the other snowy stuff. Hopefully I can do it before the year ends!
So, Zombies have been a staple in the sims until now. It's interesting how each time they've been improved but Sims 4's team doesn't seem to be that interested, as it's been 9 years and there hasn't been even hints, so my guess is they won't be reintroduced this time around. Zombies as a topic have lost relevancy in the media so this may be why they're being forgotten.
Either way, I don't feel as strongly about them as I should because zombies have been quite an afterthought. I don't think any of the games really know how to handle them aside from the undead part but I think they should affect the game way more than they do, what are your thoughts on this?
My opinion?
Sims 1 was a very basic step, they're revived sims with no personality and a filter, it feels like the minimum but they were included in a pack full of lots of gameplay so I'll give them a pass just for being the first
Sims 2 tried to expand on the ways of making them appear and they seem more distinctive than their predecessors, they were improved upon for sure
Sims 3's approach has been the best so far imo just because the idea of making them attack and be contagious aligns more with my idea of what zombies should be.
But maybe that's just me. What are your thoughts? Let me know and I'll see you on the next one
Anyways, no that my rant is over, were here to talk about a very specific aspect of horses cause I thought the CAH needed its own video since the section that I was gonna dedicate was getting too long and because these few months have been so busy theres no way I could make the whole video in time, but rest assured, I will make a video displaying the actual horses hopefully sooner than later. Life has just gotten busy so I hope you can understand.
My opinion on the matter?
Sims 3 set a great example by making them so customizable, Im convinced Sims 4 wouldnt have put so much effort into their CAH if it wasnt because they knew Sims 3s was so great. Basically all that is missing is being able to create foals.
Sims 4 did an excellent job in my opinion, it reused everything from cats and dogs and thats fine by me, I love how much detail there is and cannot think of anything to make this better (aside from editing the lenght of the neck, which is a super minor thing missing)
So for me both of these games are winners. They both have ups and downs but the downs are very minor, I think people will have a preference just based on whether they like the cartoony/realistic style or not. I appreciate both for what they are so I dont have a preference tbh but let me know what you think and I will see you later for the horse comparison
Anyways, what are your thoughts on bowling? Mine?
Sims 2 was the starter, it was just one of the many activities offered in night-life and it honestly wasn't the standout of that pack. It's a good activity for dates and such but it never called to me specifically, but I will say they did right with the animations and basics
Sims 3 reintroduced it with univeristy and now I understand why Sims 3 could do so much, they just copied Sims 2's animations so a good portion of the work was lifted, a luxury Sims 4 doesn't have (quite the contrary cause their animations are a bit more complicated than sims 2's). But anyways, they made a hidden skill for it this time around and they did add a few different details like the screen and the fact that we do see the score so that was a nice addition, it felt like a real game was happening
Sims 4 did what they know best and decided to make it's own pack to focus on it, I'm still unsure how to feel about them doing this, I feel like EA must have a quota of packs per year or something for Maxis to be cutting so much, but leaving that aside, I think this was a clear improvement for the most part, better animations, making it an actual skill, giving little details like the glove and the different balls, it's an easy 1st place if you ignore the fact that it's way more expensive than the others.
But that's just my opinion, let me know yours and i'll see you on the next one with horses. I'd like to continue working on fishing but I'll be busy for the next few weeks so I don't think I'll find the time to work on it before horses release. Are you excited about those? Cause I sure am but just like bowling, I'm a little salty that they cut them but let's see how much they improve.
Doing this I realized I used tree houses very ew times, it's not a thing I think of so it was interesting seeing how they made it a big part of Growing Together's trailer
Sims 3 was very simple, it was like a big toy for children only and I loved it, specially the mean little things like dumping water on sims and denying entrance to unwanted sims, it felt like a kid's game. I also liked the variety in looks but I wish they had more ways to play in these
Sims 4 feels like it wanted to be unique but ended up running out of ideas, I liked small details like decorating the house and playing pretend inside, but, has anyone been able to make the spooky story work? I'm genuinely curious if it's just my game or if it's a common bug. Either way, it's okay for what it is but I was hoping for more.
Treehouses are a very small detail in the sea of content that Generations gave us, it's truly a shame to see they were a bigger part of Growing Together and even then they feel not that big in comparison. I remember when Vampires came out it felt like Sims 4 was doing its own thing focusing on the smaller scale to make those things better, but lately it seems like EA/Maxis are not sure how to fill the void before Sims 5 comes out, maybe I'm being too negative but that's how it feels to me. I don't like the way this franchise is going at all but I hope they pick it up. Horses seem to be close and I expect them to surpass Sims 3's, but let's see how that goes.
Little disclaimer, I've gone over toddler and such 3 times by now in my channel so I didn't want to repeat my toddler comparison and didn't focus on them too much this time around. This is more seeing the big differences between toddlers and infants (focusing more on infants cause they're the new ones) instead of going detail by detail with both, cause that would've taken forever to finish with so many expansions to think about. I almost gave up the idea of making this video but I hope this works
Anyways, the stage that I didn't know was missing. What are your thoughts on them? Seeing the game is free I'd be surprised if there's any simmer who hasn't tried them by now.
My opinion?
Sims 4 toddlers always felt like real toddlers, they're supposed to be from around 1.5 to 3 years old, right? So by that time most kids can walk and eat and whatnot. So I think they regretted sticking so much to that description cause lots of people hated babies (still do) and so we have a good for nothing stage and very independent stage so I guess they felt like there was something missing and couldn't edit the existing babies so now we have the in-between. It's pretty interesting and it makes me think they'll just ditch life stages for Sims 5 and just make them age progressively without differentiating them like they've been doing forever.
As far as rankings go? Idk, they're all so different! Except for Sims 2 and 3, I pick 2 above 3 any day!
Anyways, off to work on tree houses and a few shorts I think, see you then!
I don't know if Sims 4 will reintroduce them eventually but if they do I guess I'll find a way to compare it without repeating everything I said on this video.
What do yall think about them? Me?
I absolutely hated him in Sims 1 because there's no possibility for revenge, it's an NPC which you cannot seek nor interact with in any way so if you forgot to buy the alarm chances are you won't see him again. But that's a good mechanic imo, something out of your control that you cannot predict and it's just there to make your game more challenging
Sims 2 did a great job of giving them a bit more personality, it's no longer a sneaky sim (which doesn't even sneak) but just a bunch of sims coming to get your stuff and you have many ways to prevent robberies. I don't like that they're not wearing a mask though.
Sims 3 mostly followed Sims 2 except they added even more ways to prevent burglars from robbing, I like how you can follow them and they're in the criminal career and how Sims can steal stuff for themselves, it's fun to utilize the open world concept to just go around houses stealing stuff, I'd love it if you could steal things back from burglars by following them home
For me it goes Sims 3 with Sims 2 very close behind and Sims 1. Altho, the way Sims 2 react to everything going on around them is always a big plus. But that's just my opinion, let me know yours and I'll see you on the next one, will probably be infants seeing they're coming in march but let's see if I can fit in a few shorts I've been meaning to do before they come.

These tiny creatures are things I rarely have in the sims tbh, I had one irl but his death was so dumb I could never bring myself to have another one so it was interesting seeing all of these and getting to know each. I forgot to test them with other animals so I hope nothing major was missing
Which are your favorites?
My opinion?
Sims 1 was kinda solid, I cracked up visiting the 3D model thinking I'd find a recognizable rodent and got a bunch of 3D lines instead, I dislike not seeing the guinea pig but as far as functions go it's okay, I love how this started the inclusion of a rodent sickness and it wasn't revisited until Sims 4 so you know they were doing their homework
Sims 2 I love the actions they included for the hamster, like trying to escape the cage, longing for someone to approach and I like the detail of having various colors, this is the only one where you have many options about color
Sims 3 was nice, it felt a bit limited but it I liked the inclusion of more rodents (even tho 1 of those was not even a rodent lol) and I liked how they can be found outside and if you set them free it'll be outside. What kind of person sets a pet free inside??? Like good luck in the kitchen
Sims 4 was also good, I liked the inclusion of new critters like that duck thing and the fact that they can have all kinds of shenanigans going on inside the cage, made them feel very much alive and as I've said before, I like the rodent fever inclusion because it's a little thing which encourages you to keep an eye on them.
So for me it'd be Sims 4 then the rest. I guess some people won't like hamsters feeling this cartooney but I enjoy Maxis thinking outside the box. But that's just my opinion, let me know yours and I'll see you on the nest one! I wanted to make one more video before the year ends but there's family visiting already and I'm not sure I'll have as much time but let's see.

Anyways, what are your thoughts on karaoke? To me it was nice hearing them all cause it was something I never minded, I never maxed it out nor checked all the songs in any of the games because it was one thing I made them do on dates or something, I never head them all so it's nice seeing how songs like "funky sims" were kept
Sims 1 is great. It had a good variety of songs, unique performances for each (as simplified as those seem today) and sims picked every genre regardless of skill. I love the big difference in good vs bad singing in all of the games. And btw, there's also mid skill in all of the games but the difference isn't as striking so I skipped it, but in the Sims 1 they have yet another performance for mid level.
Sims 2 is pretty good too, it has lots of songs and it introduced duets, I loved the songs in here the most, their performances were good but I can't deny I was a little disappointed to see they'd just play random animations at all times. The melody would be just starting and they'd be singing their hearts out lol
Sims 3 is the most disappointing if you ask me, they just followed Sims 2 and called it a day but they have less songs, there's nothing that visually separates unskilled from skilled singers and I have no idea what the synthesizer does (I'm sure some of you know so please let me know) the one thing they did was allow kids to sing in duets but that's about it.
Sims 4 was surprisingly great, they had lots of songs, they kinda had routines, their singing was good, they added cool upgrades to the karaoke machine, what's not to like?
So, if you ask me, it's a tie between all of the games with sims 3 being left out lol but that's just my opinion, let me know yours and I'll see you on the nest one! I may finally compare hamsters next.

Jumping into arms has always been a thing in the sims and I've loved it every single time, my favorite kind of hug (if only it was that easy irl). They all accept it if they're lovers and reject it if they don't get along or they've been doing it a lot (which was the case here lol) the exception here is sims 4 since they cannot be dropped (that I know of) because it was introduced not as a selectable interaction but as a reaction to being proposed and to be taken their temperature.
I wanted to say this in the video but the time is super short and I don't think everyone will be able to keep up (and voice over would interrupt the sims, which is why I never do them in my long videos btw) so I don't think I'll be able to use captions but I think it'll be fine as long as I'm focusing on visual stuff (which is my favorite tbh) but who knows, maybe in the future I'll find a way to make it work.. or not. We shall see.

Butlers are a service I never use in my normal gameplays cause they're so frigging expensive! But I can see the use if you've got a large mansion with lots of sims and lots of money.
I kept reading things in the wiki which weren't true in my game but at this point I don't know if it's unreliable information or if my game's just buggy lol
My opinion?
Sims 1 was a great base, Alfred takes care of lots of things but I highly dislike him calling for help when he clearly doesn't need it, I have no clue why he does it
Sims 2 was an improvement for sure, this time he dismisses the other servants and repairs stuff himself, I just wish he reacted to fire and burglars
Sims 3 is my undeniable favorite just because he's the most useful, he's the only one who takes care of fires and burglars and he's makes for a great nanny unlike the rest.
Sims 4 was cool, I liked the addition of a bell so they didn't have to reach him to give orders but the game was a bit buggy overall, but I don't blame the butlers in this one.
But that's just my opinion, what are your thoughts? Let me know and I'll see you on the next one.
I'm planning to compare the photo booth but I'm not sure, I want shorter videos to test shorts and to make research easier. This video kinda made me want to compare burglars but I think I'll wait a bit more before giving up as the team seems to be really listening as of late, the infants were a nice update and I can't wait to see them but the skeptic in me is kinda weary that it's just gonna be a useless toddler lol but we shall see.

What are your thoughts on werewolves?
My opinion?
Sims 2 is veeery weak in this part specially, minimal abilities but they remained unique so they have that going on. I don't see any situation where you need wolves around, tho beating the burglar was pretty useful and the fact that these are the only hybrids that can be created without cheats is pretty cool ngl
Sims 3 was okay, I like the hunting ability here way more because it's actually useful to make lots of money, I also like the way they handled toddler werewolves but I think that's about it. I have to remind myself these were part of a bigger pack but they still feel a bit weak in comparison, in this part specially
To me Sims 4 is obviously the winner here, they gave them the vampires treatment with a whole list of abilities, I like the way you have to search for the cure, I like how they take care of their needs differently from other occults, I like details like their graves, I like the inclusion of Greg...I think they did a great job, I just wish toddlers had abilities and that they'd have a unique death but that's about it.
Nut that's just my opinion, let me know yours and I'll see you on the next one, not sure if I'll continue with butlers or start with prom or do a whole other thing, we'll see

So, werewolves. I made a poll asking which was the least likely supernatural to return and werewolves were the most likely to return, guess simmers do love this one. I hadn't played enough with werewolves up until now, and I can say it's one of the instances were each is a different concept. I mean, they're all wolflike sims, but they were handled very differently. I quite prefer when they do this tbh.
Which version is your favorite so far?
My opinion?
Sims 1, I wasn't gonna include it but when I did vampires some people were asking about Vicky the Vampire so better safe than sorry but it's obviously quite basic, it's just one of many costumes.
Sims 2 is where I think the real werewolves began, and even then, looking at werewolves now, these are pretty damn basic still. They were just a neat addiction in Pets so I'm sure they didn't think much of them.
Sims 3 werewolves had a lot more personality to them, they were 1 of many supernaturals so I understand the focus wasn't all in them, but they still did a decent job imo. I love their interactions and the ways to transform.
Sims 4 is an obvious step up but only because a whole game pack was dedicated to them, much like witches, the EA way. I'm not sure how to feel about that but I do like these werewolves, their looks were a bit off putting when I first saw them, but I guess I've gotten used to them by now lol. I love their CAS and their interactions and the way you're constantly dealing with Fury (which can be turned off) so it feels like an actual game. Their world is a big plus but I'm not here to talk about the pack as a whole so this is the only mention you'll see of that, but it's pretty good! They're nailing down the open world little by little.
So to me, this part was won by Sims 3 and 4. But that's just my opinion, let me know what you think and I'll see you on the next one.

Sooo, did you guys get this pack? How are you liking it so far? I got the pack knowing it would be buggy, but damn, I wasn't expecting this level of bugginess, hopefully the team works on it sooner than later.
Btw, I'm going to compare weddings in my next video also to update the "marriage" video since this pack focused on some stuff, but there hasn't been any changes to proposals so I'll just focus on weddings and sprinkle a few details through the video.
But getting back to the main question, what do you think about slow dancing?
My opinion?
Sims 1 introduced it in a pack that's all about dating so it's pretty suitable that it'd only get so far, it's quite simple and my least favorite because they just don't have enough variety of moves, but hey, Sims 1 gets a pass for planting the seed
Sims 2...I'm not even gonna hide it, it's my favorite. The movement just flows nicely, the interactions are cute and the rejections are brutal. This game just knew how to bring the drama.
Sims 3's was kind of underwhelming for me back when I first saw it cause it took the interactions and just gave us automatic animations, but I do like how the partner will step on the sim if they have low skill or are clumsy, that was a nice touch
Sims 4 has the benefit of seeing how all these games did it and decide what to include and what not, I like how they have some different movements in between and how they do have a few socials, but they're nothing unique to dancing so that does bother me a little. Overall I'm glad they gave us the dance back but I can't call it the best in the series.
But that's just my opinion, let me know yours and I hope I can work on my next video with all of these goddamn bugs lol.
Hope everyone staying safe with al that's going on with the world, I'm hoping the best for those who are in vulnerable areas. Stay strong

These are not the only 10 unique interactions, just 10 that came to mind, I actually had to cut a few for every game but I hope these give a taste of how the games are doing when it comes to unrepeated concepts, I put the 2021 in because Sims 4 is still going (I mean, wow) and I'm not sure if this video will hold up for 2022.

So, Christmas, do you guys celebrate it? I do but I rarely do on the Sims so it was nice to get to explore tiny features like pissing Santa off.
My opinion?
Sims 1 did a good job since this expansion had way more going on so Christmas wasn't their main focus and you know, it's a pretty old game so I'll always give it extra points for setting the example. I think if they didn't come up with the idea of failing Santa with the cookies then maybe the rest of the games wouldn't have done that either.
Sims 2 was just ok for me, sure it's cool that Sims can interact with Santa and that he leaves coal but this is could've been included in Seasons imo, they were already thinking about gifts so why not christmas? Anyways, as always, little details like deer and trees that might kill my Sims are always welcomed to shake things up. I also like how Sims have a reaction to Santa.
Sims 3 could've done better for sure, not including a Santa NPC was a choice, specially because they used it as store content. People keep talking about how kits are moneygrabs but seeing what Sims 3 was doing before makes me unsurprised that this is what they're doing now. Anyways, there are things to love like the gift party and the festival obviously, but those are Seasons things so idk
Sims 4 actually put the thought into the holidays, specially Christmas, obviously I like being able to edit the traditions but I think the ones they set for Christmas were pretty spot on, of course, all of those things are things you can do on your own in the other games but I like having them layed out like that. No complains here other than I wish it was easier to piss father winter off cause I had to be mean to my whole household to finally get on the naught list lol, also, I wish his entrance was a bit more magical than a simple teletransportation.
But that's just my opinion, I don't expect everyone to agree with me, I'm not sure who's gonna win this because of this, so let me know your thoughts and I'll see you on the next one! I'm not sure if I'll finally get to work on Gnomes or TragicClown or something else but I hope this is not my last video of the year. The holidays came way too early this year, I thought we had more of 2021 left so it's wild to think we're so close to Christmas, times flies!

So this one's pretty short in Sims 3's case and I was gonna skip this one because it seems unfair but some kept asking after I did the cow one so I thought "ehh, why not?" this is an evolution after all and I do hope this pack had enough success for them to consider bringing it back in the future sims games. If they ever happen, at this point I'm still surprised there's no word on Sims 5 sooo let's see what they have in store for us
Sims 4 obviously wins in this case imo just because they expanded on this way more since, you know, it's a whole expansion based on farming compared to something that was done as store content, but I still thought it was interesting that they had stuff like the evil chicken again, it shows they wanted some sort of continuity and that's something the team has been getting better at and hope I keep seeing
Anyways, those are all my thoughts on chicken, still loving cottage living so far, and you? Let me know and I'll see you on the next one.

I wanted to focus only on club dancing but I found some neat ones along the way, if you've seen my community post you probably know this comparison is missing the ballet from Sims 1 but I decided I didn't want to make this video any longer, that animation takes like 30 second and it isn't even official so I didn't see the point. If Sims 4 introduces ballet then maybe I'll make a video to mention that and expand on the ballet skill as a whole.
So what do you think of all the dances? My opinion?
Sims 1 has pretty cool variety with every move switching depending on the station, it was a nice touch and one I wish could've gone on but I'm not too mad at that, it's also the raunchiest with all of the suggestive dancers, it's truly something that the sims wouldn't do again. (Btw, I know Sims 3 also has those adult dancers buut they don't have a unique animation so I didn't include them)
Sims 2 has very iconic dances with the smustle, I had forgotten about the special dances you learn in bon voyage and those were pretty neat reasons to visit, I also loved the introduction of ballet and the way sims dance with kids, it's full of good details
Sims 3 followed a lot of Sims 2's work and I get it, it's no surprise at this point. But I'm still just gonna talk about what's new, the introduction of club dancing was pretty good and I love the movements, also the wacky dances like Gangnam style and Chicken dance, I liked how they at least tried.
Sims 4 has the best animations by far if we talk about smoothness, it's just cool looking at them! In terms of what's new, get together really helped a lot with the group dancing, dance battles, etc. It could've gone even further imo but I'm glad with what we got. I also like little details like toddlers dancing and the cowplant. I do miss slow dancing, it was so iconic so maybe they'll bring it back? Anyways, I'm not too mad at it either, if I put it in the thumbnail it's nothing that deep lol
So if you ask me, I could not pick one, they all did a wonderful job. But that's just my opinion, let me know yours and I hope I don't take as long for my next upload lol. I have many topics lined up so I'm unsure which one will go next. Stay tuned
BTW, this is the first time I've used music from the games cause I thought it'd be appropriate with Sims 1's bit but I'll pray this doesn't go down because of it lol, wish me luck.

Anyways, cows, they're lovely animals and I'm glad Maxis finally listened to the much awaited farm pack and decided to include them there, people say horses should've been there as well but I'm not sure how they would've handled them, as long as we don't get a horse game pack I'm good for now.
What did you think of how the handled the pack as a whole and the cows?
My opinion?
Sims 3 is waaaay behind this time, the cow was supposed to be premium content and it's quite shallow, I understand store content was not their priority but they made entire cities for packs so I don't get why they couldn't put more effort into an animal, what I like about this is the tic tac hoof game and the way you can tip cows (yes, I'm evil) but that's about it for me.
Sims 4 felt comfortable to not make them as fleshed out as horses cause Sims 3 didn't do a great job, that's my theory anyways, but I'm glad they're here and that they included so many more features, clothing, cute interactions, actually taking care of them, it's all improvement upon improvement from the previous version so I'm not mad at it, I just think they could've done more since this is an expansion, is that just me?
So yeah, I called this evolution for a reason, it's the same but better. But that's just my opinion, let me know what you think and I'll see you on the next one, thank you for reading!

What are your thoughts on Agnes Crumpebottom? I think she's a very "controversial" NPC, either you love her or hate her, and man, I do love her and I'm glad Sims 4 brought her back, took them long enough but I'm glad they're starting to listen and make packs that people ask for.
My opinion?
Sims 1 as always was the introduction and I think it was the quite good. She's a very simple NPC when she's not hitting sims, she's just standing around and you wouldn't really tell the difference if it wasn't for her unique voice. I saw videos where she was way more active than in my game, playing and dancing but I could capture none of that cause mine would just sit and rant, let me know how your behaves cause I'm not sure if mine is broken or what. Anyways, love her little animations and quirks, they give her lots of personality and that's all I can ask for in an NPC.
Sims 2's is more clamed than I remembered, she doesn't react to interactions other than woohoo (again, let me know if yours do lol) and she also dislikes when Sims show too much skin, which could be bothersome if there's a pool. Again, I like her unique animations and the fact that she knits when she's bored, also how she distracts herself by drinking, bowling and gambling, considering her strict attitude, she's living her best life here lol
Sims 3 she was a playable character and I honestly never played her, it got me thinking why Sims 2 was so immersive, the premade families put you in scenarios to display new features, but in her case they make it seem like it's gonna be difficult to get her a partner with a ghost haunting her house but that is not the case, Sims 3's ghosts are way less aggressive than Sims 2's, so I was disappointed in that aspect, but hey, it's cool to get to play her in her young years to redefine her.
Sims 4 was just introduced and she was very well made, I liked the fact that she could be added to the family and that they kept a bit of her past traits/interests, and of course, her iconic purse attack. Overall I would've liked if she had a unique voice and if she had more unique dialogue but that's probably just me.
So my order would be Sims 2, Sims 1/4 and Sims 3 last. But that's just my opinion, let me know what you think and tell me if there's something I forgot (aside from the Sims 1 dance lol) see you on the next one, I'm thinking cows MAAAAYYY be next but we'll see, thank you for reading :D

What's your take on beekeeping?
My opinion?
Sims 1's is quite simple, it's less beekeeping and more honey harvesting (but hey, I needed a title lol) I like how it's a fast way to gain cooking skill and the way the ingredients are so useful for magical purposes, it goes really well with the pack's theme and I love seeing Claire the Bear try to get some honey
Sims 3's didn't expand much, it was a tiny feature in supernatural compared to everything else but I like the new uses of honey and the fact that they added the actual caring for the bees.
Sims 4's added new things like the bond, the ability to control bees, the bees actually helping with gardens, it fit nicely in seasons and they made them interactive with the weather, so I think this one's my favorite take so far, it doesn't hurt that they gave a small nod to Clair lol
But that's just my opinion, let me know what you think and I'll see you on the next one, maybe this time I stick to gnomes lol

So what's your take on school? It's one of those things I'm almost sure every player experiences at some point and to me it was always kinda like the background thing, I'm always busier making the kids learn skills so I learned a few things here and there.
My opinion?
Sims 1 is just the base, as always, I feel like it was the hardest and the easiest at the same time just because of how easy it is to earn and lose grades, as far as gameplay goes it's...there.
Sims 2 having weekdays and homework made the whole difference, kids actually take breaks and the player is more involved with school work, as far as extras go, I loved private school, it doesn't do much but it's a fun minigame which I always played.
Sims 3, or I should say generations, was quite packed with content, most of it is a little shallow cause half of the cool stuff they introduced like proms, pranks and graduations, are just things that are hidden inside a rabbithole, but hey, it's still nice. On a little note, the grounded feature is broken and I don't understand why they didn't fix it... at least in my game?
Sims 4 to me is a clear downgrade so far, maybe it's because of my first impression which was them taking the iconic bus out, but it's been almost 7 freaking years and the school experience has barely been improved, you can gain values while at school with parenthood, the addition of school projects was very cool, I like that they ask you to get new skills cause it can be useful later on and I obviously love that kids who did better can start a career at a higher level, but everything else? It's just alright.
So in this my order goes Sims 3, Sims 2, Sims 4 and Sims 1 just because of the extra features, the core gameplay is very similar in most games if you ask me, but that's just my opinion. Let me know what you think and I'll see you on the next one, I'm still debating if it will be Gnomes or something else.

I usually don't get a wishing well so it was cool seeing everything each one does, this one feels like a true evolution since it only gets better in terms of gameplay. What do you think? Do you often use the wishing well?
My opinion?
Sims 2's is the only one which is some sort of trophy and you can only make 5 wishes before everything turns out negative, it's also the one with the least amount of wishes, but I do love seeing Mrs. Crumplebottom crawl out of the well each time, so it's full of pros and cons in my book.
Sims 3's is obtained only through store content so I'm not a fan of that, but I do like the fact that sims can steal the coins and fish in it, the wishes they added were also... fine, I'm not a fan of wishes that grant moodlets but like the little animations with the frog, the pixies and the demon child.
Sims 4's is pretty great in terms of more wishes and outcomes, I'd rather if you couldn't manipulate the well's face but hey, it's still really fun and I love that kids can use it as well, the ghosts were a nice addition too, again, not a fan of moodlet wishes but I think it's how they managed to get away with so much variety.
So in conclusion, I think this was a true evolution, I appreciate aspects of all of the games but in the end there's things that each did better than the last, but that's just my opinion, let me know what you think and see you on the next video! I'll probably start working on the school comparison, but for now, thanks for reading!

I knew this would be a short comparison and I haven't gotten enough time to play around with Sims 4 so let me know what other fun quirks you've found about her. I know she can swim in Sims 3 and 4 but it seems so...unimportant that I decided not to mention it, along with some other stuff.
Anyways, what are your thoughts on her?
My opinion?
Sims 1 is very solid, not only did they introduce her but they gave her lots of personality, I like how her clear alcoholism has been toned down with each version, I'm not a fan of the later entries neglecting her admiration for the Grim Reaper tho.
Sims 3 was alright, I like how the made her even more useful by fighting burglars, extinguishing fires, training dogs, etc. It's weird that she tries to interact with babies tho so I guess this is something they actually intended for her to do but in the end couldn't make it work, it's odd that they'd just left it there, because she'd spend HOURS trying to interact with the baby.
Sims 4 is continuing to have a bait in stuffpacks, this time it was Bonehilda aaaaaand I don't appreciate that. She's alright, does most of the things she is known for but is it just me or does she work way less?? In my game, she takes hours before getting to the real work and would rather be dancing than fixing things around, not sure if they meant to make her more lively or it's an error.
Either way, I find myself leaning more towards Sims 1 for quirks and Sims 3 for actual usefulness. Sims 4 is right in the middle of that so it's also the last in my book, but that's just my opinion, let me know yours and I'll see you on the next one. Take care.

So yeahh, these videos are a bit different, the voting isn't as important here since everything here is meant to be different, I'll just have to say, when I started my first woohoo video there were very few locations for Sims 4, and now it's giving Sims 3, the one with the most woohoo spots, a good competition. I'm a little bothered that it seems like they get new locations based on which animations they can reuse but it's ultimately better than nothing, in my opinion anyways.
Let me know what's your favorite and we shall see who wins, thanks for reading and take good care. Let's hope 2021 is a better year for everyone.

I thought this video was gonna be 5 minutes, but oh boy, this one took a while, just a little disclosure, with all of the updates in Sims 4, I've had trouble with my game running well so I'm not sure if something that was said here was the result of that. If so, let me know.
I went into this comparison knowing fully well which game would win and I think many of you do too, but damn, there's SO much stuff I didn't know in all of the games, for instance, I never bothered with online dating in Sims 3 so it was a nice surprise to see it was actually a nice mechanic.
So, what are your thoughts? Which one won for you?
My opinion?
Sims 1 gets a pass for being the first one, instead of a game mechanic, this is a simple feature which was implemented from there forward so in terms of "groundbreaking" I guess it did something right.
Sims 2 made this a mini game out of dating, it's fairly easy to get a good date if you care about needs but any little disaster is gonna be a struggle for sure, I also like the matchmaker and all of the little things Sims do depending on how the date went. That's probably my favorite aspect of dating as a whole.
Sims 3 reverted to Sims 1's standard of just having fun, they do let you know how a date went but it's gonna be fine unless anything negative happens. I loved online dating and it's weird that it's the only one which has implemented this so far.
Sims 4 dates are exactly like outings but with different rules, I feel they wanted to do what Sims 2 did but instead they made it a little less fun making those tasks mandatory, the prizes were pretty "meh" cause they don't have any personalization and I don't think we need even more ways to control emotions. Also, I hate the fact that dates can't go wrong, I just do, maybe many prefer it that way, but I don't. And hey, maybe my game is broken for all I know.
Conclusion?:
Sims 2 wins by a lot, then Sims 3 and it's the last place I'm not sure of, I'm just so pissed at Sims 4 after this, altho, maybe it's just cause I've been having such a hard time with all the updates, so take my opinion with a grain of salt lol

This was a learning experience cause I rarely make my Sims divorce or break up, I mean, they cheat lots but I make sure they're never caught lol, so it was news to me seeing just how easily Sims get angry over lovers, specially Sims 2 and I'm not sure if that's good or bad, what do you think? What do you appreciate in each game?
My opinion?
Sims 1 is very bland, marriage barely exists so I guess it's not surprising to see little to no reaction towards cheating, at least in my game, Sims didn't react at all, I thought it was a bug but this is quite common apparently. I think they didn't know how to handle relationships there cause you can't even break up and once fight your Sims is just gone! So it makes it hard to really want to engage with strong emotions.
Sims 2 improved a lot from Sims 1 as usual, Sims are super jealous and they know when Sims are cheating right away, you have to be careful to cheat on this game and it feels very real in that regard, breaking up results in Sims leaving again and I really don't like this, I get it's to give it more weight but it feels very forced and it's something that bothered me cause I had to get out and move them back in, cause c'mon! They're not that bad lol
Sims 3 followed Sims 2's lead but this time breaking up can be autonomous and the cheater ends up regretting it more than their partner, if you break up, that is. I like the addition of being able to cause break ups since it gives couples a chance for a peaceful divorce.
Sims 4 Sims are a bit less intuitive when it comes to cheating, they have to be really near to get what's going on, and again, breaking up doesn't have to be terrible for everyone, I liked the addition of the friendly breakup because, again, not everything needs to be dramatic and it's good that is a choice and not forced. Overall, my only nitpick is I wish Sims were smarter, you literally ask them about their lover and no one reacts and that's a missed opportunity.
So in conclusion, Sims 2, 3 and 4 have my thumbs up since they each brought something new, except Sims 1, but it gets a pass for being so old lol
But that's just my opinion, let me know what you think and I'll see you on the next one, I may finally get to apartments but I'm still unsure.

So, marriage, probably one of the most important aspects of the game and man, I can see how the game has evolved over 20 years, it's crazy to think same sex marriage wasn't allowed back then and now we've got females impregnating males huh? Anyways, what are your thoughts on marriage? Which one is your favorite?
My opinion?
Sims 1 is veeeery basic but it's 20 years old so it feels just wrong to complain about how simple it was...so I won't lol
Sims 2 was a HUGE jump, so many things introduced here, plus some unique like the overdramatic cutscenes and a proper honeymoon on top of many little details like the cake and the champagne.
Sims 3's base game wedding content was alright but generations just sent it on another level, I loved all the unique aspects it introduced, the bachelor parties, asking for a sim's hand, it's just great when those detail oriented expansions come around.
Sims 4 is underwhelming because it took too much and added very little, my guests just didn't react (seriously, not even with mods out so either they just don't or I caught a bad bug) if it was the only game after Sims 1 it would've been alright but it's not, I don't dislike it but weddings don't feel special to me, the one thing I could say is their party system is better in terms of giving you pointers of how to have a good time, I like the special fireworks aaaand eating the cake together is sweet. But that's about it.
So, for me, Sims 2 wins followed very closely by Sims 3 and then 4 and 1.
I just love dramatic cutscenes mmkay? lol
But that's just my opinion, let me know what you think and I'll see you on the next one!

What's your opinion on dragons? Do you like them? Are you indifferent to their presence? Do you think they'll make a real comeback?
My opinion?
Sims 1 handled dragons well enough considering they came in a pack so full of content, I like how they run freely and play, they seem very curious and fun, I also appreciate the small grind of getting them and how your interactions affect which dragon you get, but man, I wish there could be more differences between colors, they're basically the same dragon except for maybe a thing or two as far as I could tell.
Sims 3 made a whole world to include dragons so they were underwhelming in that aspect in my opinion, they made them a small pet that behaves more like an object and I didn't like how they kept the black dragon behind a paywall, but I do appreciate their differences and abilities, if we're talking about powers, of course these win to me because Sims 1's didn't have powers per say, they were just little fire machines and I do not appreciate that kind of threat in Sims 1 out of all games, fire is DEATH!
But that's just my opinion, let me know yours and I'll see you on the next video, I'll probably do marriage and then jump onto some skills but I'm not sure, oh, also, I've paused my machinima cause I'm just lost lol, not sure if I'll continue it and upload it next, guess we'll see, thank you for reading!
