IroncladAltYes I'm responding this to my own video because Im GAYLU!!!!!!!
Hello! I spent a little less than 2 hours today finishing this up. I figured I might as well remix it in famitracker since I ytpmv'd it about a week ago, lol (found here if you care: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93hh-rCj19Q)
It's a VRC6 remix of Underworld Map theme (Track 03) from a rather unheard of Doraemon RPG called Attack of the Giga Zombie (that's the translated name, seeing as it was never released in the US, lol).
I took quite a few liberties with the song actually, especially during the galloping triplet part. The percussion is also totally different, although it's identical to what I did in my ytpmv. Oh, and it sounds much better in NSF form, as NSFplug is gay and plays everything too loud to effectively hear out the percussion and triangle channel.

(this gameplay is not by me btw lmao, I fuckin earned my intro area clear on hard mode thank you very much)
so I finally fuckin finished something chiptune for once in my life, this is a cover of the music that plays during the intro and a couple of other places in the absolutely stellar game Nier: Automata (my current GOTY, can't spoil anything but it's seriously some of the most impressive presentation I've ever seen in a game)
my initial reasoning for covering this track was that I noticed that it doesn't have a fakebit version during hacking sequences, which I thought was kind of weird since all of the major themes in this game have a seamless transition from the original music to the hacking music (and vice-versa). so I went ahead and made this back in July for FCP3 which took me probably about a week or so of on-and-off work
for those interested in the technical stuff, the expansions used here are VRC6 and 6 channels of N163. I would've went for all 8 channels but I started running into wave position errors (this technically doesn't run perfectly on hardware according to what I've been told lmao). so I decided to cut out the last two channels which were only used for echoing some other channels to give the track some more layers, but I think this still sounds pretty good without the bit of extra fluff i wanted to add in
overall I was pretty satisfied with how this turned out, expect more from this soundtrack in the future because I fuckin love this game lmao

I finished this last night after not touching it for nearly a year, so at the very least I'm satisfied with how it turned out lol. I took quite a few liberties with this one, though I'll admit that some of the additions to the percussion were inspired by teckwercks' MIDI arrangement of this song.
Output is from VirtuaNSF (sue me!!!), the video output is from NSFPlay's synthesia or whatever.
This one is particularly funny to me because I'm pretty sure those are 808 samples lol

Here's part 1 of the nsf I entered into Famicompo 9. It placed 8th overall, so I did quite a bit better than last compo (where I placed 19th). This is probably my most ambitious cover to date, especially since this is the first time I've legitimately tried pseudo-vocals in famitracker. I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out, part two will be coming shortly.

Famitracker forums thread: http://famitracker.com/forum/posts.php?id=3855Sea World Scouse (Original) [2A03+VRC6]IroncladAlt2012-07-25 | Hey nigs, here's a short original that originally (lul) started out as a .xm that was set up to act as a fake 2A03+VRC6 module. I ended up doing that because I didn't have access to famitracker at school due to the band room's practice rooms only having macs (ones that didn't even dual-boot with XP no less).
The song's name is meant to be a reference to Water World Saus (as well as for the sake of 2 inside jokes but who cares), a track from the SNES game The Great Battle IV (a pretty good game actually, think of MMX). I drew some inspiration from that song, especially in the beginning, so I figured I'd name it as such, lol.

This is actually a retrack in famitracker, as I originally made this during a free period at school in milkytracker with mock-2A03 instruments. I ended up not even making the top half (unlike last winter chip with my Hoops entry), placing 80th out of 157, but I still had fun making this.

FT Forums (with DL links to the original .xm, .ftm, and .nsf):Sanzen In (Guitar Duet) [2A03+VRC6]IroncladAlt2012-03-14 | Here's something I finished more than a year ago, back when I began making chip music seriously. I entered it as the fifth track on my entry to the covers section of famicompo 8, where it seemed to get the second-most amount of attention (if not more) next to my cover of Fillmore from Actraiser.
Anyway, It's a cover of a guitar duet I heard nearly a year and a half ago, and I decided to cover it soon after. It's been long enough that I can't even remember how much time I spent working on it, though I do remember it took several hours to hear out all the notes. The audio and video is from the program Hoot (thanks to Rushjet for his latest vid since it introduced me to this nice program), which is a music player that can play nsf's, spc's, and more (though I can't remember what else).
Enjoy!Nujabes - Samurai Champloo - Aruarian Dance [2A03+VRC7]IroncladAlt2012-03-04 | Time to revive this channel after several months of inactivity (this technically isn't the video that started the revival though, check my cover of Fillmore from ActRaiser on my main instead: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCCkSkE5CNE). If any of you have watched Samurai Champloo, then you may recall this song (though I vaguely remember this song playing in a scene where Jin was with a woman who wasnt Fuu, fuck man idk that was like 5-6 years ago lmao).
Anyway, I started this one a few days ago, put it down, then got around to finishing it today. it wasn't really difficult, but this also marks the first time I ever used VRC7 (and now looking back I totally should have used VRC7 for Point of Return in famicompo 8, damn). I can't say I'm all too fond of the way the volumes work in VRC7, but I tried to work with it the best I could. I also took a couple liberties with the song (mainly the chords) so hopefully it doesn't detract from my cov as a whole.
Enjoy!

NOT exactly the most creative name, but the song went to the keygen group called Paradox, so idk.
This took about 2-3 hours since I had to figure out which duty cycle to use for each bass note, lmao. It was kind of annoying in that respect, but ultimately I had fun making this. Kind of repetitive with the percussion though :/
Keygen music translates pretty well into VRC6 though, so I wouldn't be surprised to find myself looking at other keygen songs to cover as well.

It didn't place very high, but it definitely got some attention from a few artists over there. Technically it's a WIP (along with its name, lmaO), so I'll find time to finish it sometime. The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap - Minish Village [2A03+VRC6]IroncladAlt2011-05-08 | Here's my most recent finished piece in Famitracker, from Minish Cap. If there were more channels I would have done something else with the triangle rather than copy the sawtooth channel. Next up will be something from Milkytracker that I'm not proud of at all, and maybe some unfinished stuff.
Here's another quick one that I finished a while ago. This was my first experiment into 900 BPM + 1 instrument covers. Luckily this track was pretty short, so I didn't have much of a problem listening the volume envelopes out.
Yet another one that I've had finished for a while. Pretty short, but it should be accurate enough (despite 4xy vibrato teehee). Also, there seems to be something wrong with that vibrato in the video, although it should sound fine in the source files.

It was originally going to be Auger Man's theme for Mega Man Time Tangent, but all that confusing schism stuff left this out in the open. So now it's just a standalone original done in somewhat of a mega man style. Though, looking back now, I kind of feel differently about that, lol.
