ORCHESTRAL REMAKE | One Winged Angel (Sephiroths Theme) Kenny Mac Composer 2018-02-22 | Learn to write and produce epic orchestral music like this video:courses.evenant.com/?affcode=22931_y5pq2x6f---"One Winged Angel" is one of those villain themes that is so badass that you simply cannot describe its epic-ness without cussing. In this remake, I decided to remove the brass section in the beginning because the staccato strings are just too f****** epic to be overshadowed. A rather under-utilized instrument in modern orchestral music, I also added an organ to enhance the menacing character of the villain whose theme this belongs to. The melody played by the tremolo strings at around 0:28 (which I spotlighted in the video) is probably one of the most intimidating and overlooked villain lines of all time.The choir was largely programmed with EWQL Hollywood Choirs, although I must say it was a rather limiting library for the hype it has generated upon release. ORCHESTRAL REMAKE | Duel of the Fates (Darth Mauls Theme) Kenny Mac Composer 2017-12-06 | Learn to write and produce epic orchestral music like this video:courses.evenant.com/?affcode=22931_y5pq2x6f---This is the orchestral remake of "Duel of the Fates" by John Williams from Star Wars Episode I, remade in Logic Pro X. This piece is, in my opinion, quite possibly the most epic battle/villain theme ever made, and definitely among the most complex covers I have tackled as there are so many nuances that need to be taken into consideration. In the movie, we hear the opening melody played with the brass section, but in the actual recording, it was sung by the choir. I've always wondered how it will sound to have both the brass and the choir open up the piece together, and so I decided to do that here, and I thought it was pretty darn epic.I made this remake using samples in Logic Pro X (see below for more details!), hence the incorrect lyrics for the choir (lols). It opens up with an emotional melody from the piano, and progresses in to a dynamic state of emotions. Here we explore the emotions of confusion, anger, and grief. Perhaps the most significant part of the piece is in the b section, where we hear the characteristic melancholic passage played by the lead cello (performed by Mosa Tsay), a voice crying from a place of grief and weeping from a state of pensive sadness. The cello puts forth a valiant effort to rise out of a recurring falling melody. I could not sleep until 10:30am. At approximately 4:30am, I decided to get out of my bed, put on my headphones and create this track.Here's the thing about my house -- the birds that live on the tree next to my room wake up CONSISTENTLY every single morning at 4am. I wanted to create this remix in a way that paints the scenery of that experience -- waking up to the SunRise with my neighbor birds.Dedicated to my SunRise Bible study group, Adam Young, and my friends who are the birds that keep me company on sleepless nights.Enjoy.
