charleysdrpepperThis is a test at giving Goomba the ???? (Sharkbone) script. As you can see, scripts have things that allow for ailments to be placed on a Player Character. And many other interesting things. (Basically, scripts are called both when an enemy is being attacked, and when the enemy is attacking, though, it is common for there to be a check in the script itself for which it is doing.) And the ability itself was not changed, so you can still see Goomba's regular ability.

P.S. = I wonder how the Bros. Attacks give ailments to the enemies?Airs Rock Exploitation Research Pt1charleysdrpepper2021-09-11 | Quick Demonstration of how these tile writing Event IDs work (Tested with writing in two 0x50 manually so that I can walk on them to demonstrate this.) You must walk/run to another tile writing ID to maintain the previous one's state. There are two Retreat maps inside Air's Rock with these type of events, and going out of bounds to step on these tiles (0x50-0x53) do write out of bounds, hence the title.
I label this Pt1, but that doesn't mean there will be a Pt2.
Also, please note that this has been known by me for some time, and that finding a useful use case might be difficult, but please be welcome to do your own research as well... if you have experience with technical stuff.... who knows, you could find something.

The Alex portrait was an intentional edit using Atrius's Golden Sun TLA Editor, but was not done for the purpose of this video. The rest of the character swapping was done accidentally. (During hacking.)Yay! Triforce in Superstar Saga.charleysdrpepper2011-12-09 | I made this Triforce, so don't go thinking it was left in the game. It doesn't seem to render perfectly, oh well. Enjoy this early Christmas present, everyone. (This would be good in a Zelda hack, actually.)

It was a quick hack I did using the editor, but I did not complete this map's solidity map. (You still cannot edit the solidity map in the latest public version, but it will be available eventually. I think.)Solidity Editing: Bypass the Camera Guycharleysdrpepper2011-10-19 | I show off my skills by editing the solidity map. While I was at it, I have edited the maps graphic tiles as well. All this was done through the editor I am making, so it was pretty much a snap. You cannot currently do this in the latest public editor, but one day it shall be available. (Solidity Editing is only at the state of editing their bytes, so one will need to know what byte is what kind of solidity, and different maps have different collections of solidity sets, etc.)
EDIT: I can't believe I used the wrong graphic tiles on that upper bar. :(Koopa owns a Save Block! (Hacked)charleysdrpepper2011-06-09 | Save Blocks are no different from NPC objects. (They are stored together.)
In the video, I have a few things that aren't in v0.2, so please do not get disappointed if you do not see them. (For example, in Room Properties you see a list of properties, I have them hidden in v0.2 since I have not yet loaded the values into the editor.
Notes: You can only replace the tiles in the map editor right now. This does not include solidity map. (Also known as tilescripts.)Marketowncharleysdrpepper2011-02-09 | This is a remix by me of Market and Clocktown from Zelda (OoT and MM)...
Enjoy... Edit in 2020: This was my last piano video in 2011. (Ignoring the Synthesia one that doesn't count.) Without double checking the rest of them, I bet this one was my best piano video.Felix learns to Jump.charleysdrpepper2011-01-29 | This is an assembly hack of Felix jumping.
Thanks to: Atrius (for supplying information on the basics of how to do this..), Salanewt (for giving me the information), and myself (for the video above, and making the assembly function.)
Trivia: I think this is my first Golden Sun video, yay!Music hacking in M&L:SScharleysdrpepper2010-09-24 | This is to show we can put in our own custom music...M&L: SS - Music Scripting by Object Script Editingcharleysdrpepper2010-04-10 | This video is to show that we can change music simply by talking to a character. I made a few mess-ups in the convos, but I didn't feel like going back and fixing them. Sorry.
Edit: August 27, 2013: To avoid any confusion, all music in video is copyright to Nintendo/AlphaDream. (Especially the part at 1:17. *Eyeballs my first "Matched third party content" label.*) All the songs used are found in the ROM.M&L: SS - Warp Editingcharleysdrpepper2010-04-07 | I edited no-scripted warps to get aound.
(The dsestroyed town(s) and the rebuilt town are actually separate rooms, the game uses flags to decide which one to go to.)M&L: SS - Raised Rooms height, added test battle to Toadcharleysdrpepper2010-04-06 | This hacking testwas made to prove that we can do the following:
-change widths/heights
-map tiles (most of it is green due to how longit takes to add in the tiles.)
-Moving characters/dialogue....
-Initiating battles through any object.
All the rooms seem to be measured by sections of the screen.
For example, Toadtown Main is 3x3, so I had to go to three places (BG1, BG2, BG3 map sections) and change them to 3x4. A well as modify the script that keeps you from going south. (The one where Toad says that's the wrong way.)
To add a battle to Toad, I had to go to where te objects of the room are,.... ll this was done in memory viewer, so do not ak fo any cheats. http://z3.invisionfree.com/Lighthouse_of_YoshiPass the rewards screen in Bowsers tut. battle (To Salanewt.) (Hack)charleysdrpepper2009-11-01 | This is to Salanewt, previously when we get to the Rewards screen after having lowered Bowser's HP to avoid an end battle script, we could not continue. Now we can with the help of changing the Battle scripting pointer (With Bowser's HP still lowered.). I still have not removed Bowser's "Give Up!" script. Changing the script pointer alsoafffected many other things, such as the NPCs, as you might notice Luigi in the center.
Last Updated: 11/10/2009yoshispriteworkingcharleysdrpepper2009-10-04 | This is me, showing off Yoshi sprites by changing Mario and Luigi's sprite, when I go to change Luigi's sprite you will notice at first, I purposely didn't fix it, but later, I fixed it. This is dedicated to Salanewt. (Salafrog)
If you are wondering why I didn't talk to any Yoshis here, it is because I used the same numbers as them to "fix" the sprite, (I am not refering to the Yoshi's "Sprite" number though.)

Please note, so far we have not figured out how to do the other rooms quite yet.

this is much better, great daylight, but on part 5 it getts alittle dark, but still okay.,
For the sheet music go to notation.com and download the thirty day trial (any of them), then click on the link above (which I uploaded to freewebs)
Please Comment and Rate!
p.s. i would also like to say.. at the end of part 3.. a note cannot be played
because my piano doesn't have the B note i wanted, it just goes as low as the C, which is one note above the B which is suppose to be held for 4 beats and during those for beats a higher B (1 step higher) is suppose to be played twice (B, B..) the dots just show that that B is to be helfd out just alittle longer, ofcourse to solve this problem i could move the whole song up a note, but that would ofcourse sound a bit different.

Sheik's Theme from Ocarina of Time played by me on piano. Wow, this is dark, but you can still see see it.. must find light! hehe maybe when i will redo this one when i feel like it, because it's a bit too slow, etc... but for now just use it as an easy way for people who don't know this song, to learn it.
If you turn up the brightness and contrast on your computer, you can see it good!!
